What’s changed?

Legacy Channable API tokens are expiring on December 9, 2025. Any requests using an expired token will be blocked and return 401 errors.

If you were using our Channable API for data sync, to continue importing orders, sending stock updates, and accessing returns via our API, you must generate a new token and update your systems.

Who is affected

  • Affected: Users with one or more systems or integrations that use a Channable API token generated on the legacy version

  • Not affected: Users who do not use the Channable API or who have already replaced their tokens recently (within the last 6 months)

Frequently asked questions

chevron-rightWhy do I need to generate a new token?hashtag

Channable API tokens are used by external systems to securely authorize and perform actions with your Channable account. This includes fetching data (like orders or returns) and pushing data (like stock updates).

If the token expires, any system relying on it to connect to Channable will receive a 401 error, causing data synchronization to fail until it’s updated.

chevron-rightWhat happens if I don’t update my token?hashtag

If you don’t update systems that use your API token before December 9, you can expect:

  • Delayed fulfillment when orders are not retrieved by your system

  • Increased cancellations from selling out‑of‑stock items due to missed stock updates

  • Seller rating penalties when shipment updates are not reported

  • All API requests using the expired token failing with 401 until a new token is inserted and configured

chevron-rightCan I change my token without down time?hashtag

Yes. You can generate a second token without invalidating your existing token. This allows you to update the token in all places where you use it, and then, when you are done, invalidate the old token.

You can have up to two tokens active at any point in time.
