October 3, 2025: New feed - Open AI’s ChatGPT Commerce

What’s changed?

The Open AI ChatGPT Commerce feed is available in Channable! OpenAI is launching ChatGPT Commerce for US-based Shopify and Etsy stores in the “coming weeks". This will be an automatic and direct integration.

ChatGPT Commerce includes:

• Product discovery: Your products are recommended in ChatGPT and checkout takes place on your website.

• Instant Checkout: Customers can buy your products directly in ChatGPT. Learn more.

Important: Expansion to other stores/platforms/countries is planned but OpenAI’s timeline for this is unknown.

What can I do?

ChatGPT Commerce is not available to non-Shopify/Etsy stores or in regions outside of the US but you can start preparing your feed in Channable (you cannot upload your feed to Open AI yet).

• I have a Shopify store (US only):

  • You can start preparing your feed in Channable. Go to [your project] > Channels and select “ChatGPT Commerce (Open AI)” to start the setup. This setup in Channable includes OpenAI’s feed specifications. This feed can help your products’ performance on ChatGPT.

• I do not have a Shopify store/I’m in another region:

  • You can start preparing your feed in Channable. Go to [your project] > Channels and select “ChatGPT Commerce (Open AI)” to start the setup. This setup in Channable includes OpenAI’s feed specifications.

  • Sign up to be a merchant using Open AI’s merchant application form.
