Darty is integrating with Fnac and this may affect the setup of your Darty and/or FNAC API. In this article, you can read more about the replatforming and what this means for your APIs in the article.
Darty is currently using the Mirakl platform for creating products, creating offers and handling orders, but they are going to transition to BOMP, which is the new system for both Darty and Fnac to create product listings, handle offers and orders. However, the websites of both Fnac and Darty will remain separate even after the unification.

More information can be found in these articles provided by Fnac/Darty:
- https://fnacdartymarketplace.com/en/focus_catalogue_en/ is about phase 1 in general
- https://fnacdartymarketplace.com/en/focus_catalogue_en/back-office-projet-training-documentation/ contains a training document which has link to API documentations.
This project from Fnac/Darty is happening in 2 batches. In the first batch that happens in Q1 of 2023, they are combining product content creation on both Fnac and Darty so that both marketplaces use Fnac MCM (Fnac Product API in Channable) for creating new products. To support this, you will have to make some changes in Channable, notably when you're only selling on Darty.
In Q1 of 2024 (batch 2), offers and orders handling for both Fnac and Darty will be combined to use the Fnac back-office. This batch will happen in Q1 of 2024, so you don't need to do anything for this yet. We will inform you about this later.
So there are different scenarios possible that also require different actions. Below you can find an overview of these:
- I sell on both Fnac and Darty:
When you create products on Fnac using the Fnac product API, this will automatically create product listings on both Fnac and Darty. Till 1 April 2023, you need to use both Fnac product API and Darty exporter to create product listings on Fnac and Darty.
If you are selling products on Darty that you are not selling on FNAC, you are advised to also push these products through the FNAC products API. - I only sell on Fnac:
This replatforming has no impact on you and everything remains the same. - I only sell on Darty:
This scenario has the greatest impact. If you don't create new product listings on Darty, you can keep creating offers and handle orders using the existing Darty exporter for now. Only change from April 2023 is in the way product content is created on Darty.
From 1 April 2023, you will also need to use the Fnac product API to create content on Darty. This helpcenter article can help you with setting up a Fnac product connection and API. In general, you can follow the steps below:
- Create a Mirakl Fnac Darty Catalogue Manager (MCM) account. According to Fnac/Darty, you should have already got an invitation to create this account.
- Create a new Fnac product connection in Channable following step 1 in this article.
- Create a new Fnac product API to create new products in Darty.
Product content creation will switch completely to Fnac product API from April 2023, however during the switchover period (Q1 of 2023), Fnac/Darty suggests customers who only sell on Darty to create content through both Fnac product API and Darty exporter, so you will be creating product listings through both Darty and Fnac until the end of April. Again, this only effects the creation of new listings, offers and orders will be handled through the existing Darty exporter, so are advised to keep the Darty-exporter active until Batch 2.
