Error: TIMED_OUT
Description:
The image upload took too long, causing a time-out
How to fix:
Resend the image by running the API again, as this can often resolve the issue.
Error: UPLOAD_REJECTED
Description:
The image was rejected for specific reasons, which can vary.
How to fix:
Review the image requirements in the relevant Bol guidelines and ensure the image complies with the specifications before re-uploading.
Error: NOT_VALID_FOR_IMPORT
Description:
This error indicates the image did not meet Bol’s requirements, similar to the UPLOAD_REJECTED error.
How to fix:
Double-check the image against Bol’s requirements and adjust it as necessary before resending it.
Error: REJECTED_NO_DATA
Description:
Required data is missing for a specific product field.
How to fix:
Ensure that all mandatory fields are filled out, either by using rules in Channable or by excluding the affected products from your API until the missing data is provided.
Error: DUPLICATE_OFFER
Description:
Bol may flag an item (or multiple items) as duplicate when it identifies two offers with different EANs as being for the same product.
This happens because the EAN you are using is linked to another EAN for a product you are already offering, even if most of the product details, including the EAN are different.
How to fix:

Investigate the cause: Determine why Bol considers the two offers to represent the same product. If the items are indeed distinct and should be listed separately, contact Bol for clarification to ensure both offers can be listed independently.

Possible fix: To possibly resolve this error, update the EAN or modify the product details Bol has indicated to you as too similar between the original and duplicate items. Ensure only one active listing remains for the product, as Bol does not allow multiple active listings for the same item.

If the issue persists and you’re unable to resolve it, reach out to Bol’s partner service for further clarification. If they confirm it's an issue with Channable, contact our support team for assistance.
Error: ISBN_EAN_INCORRECT
Description:
The specified EAN is incorrect and does not adhere to the EAN specification standards.
How to fix:
Ensure that you have entered a correct EAN that adheres to the EAN-13 barcode standard.
Error: CONDITION_INCORRECT
Description:
The specified condition of the offered product does not match with its product category.
How to fix:
Ensure that the condition of the product in the created offer corresponds to the correct product category.
Error: PRICE_INCORRECT
Description:
The price configured for the specified offer is not within the permitted boundaries.
How to fix:
Ensure that the configured price is within the permitted boundaries of 1-9999.
Error: STOCK_INCORRECT
Description:
The stock value configured for the specified offer is either too low or too high and not within the allowed boundaries.
How to fix:
Ensure that the configured stock value is within the permitted boundaries of 0-999.
Error: COMMENT_INCORRECT
Description:
The specified comment does not adhere to the standards, or it is too long.
How to fix:
Ensure that you do not include telephone numbers or email addresses within your comment, and that the length is within 0-2000 characters.
Error: FULFILLMENT_CALENDAR_INCORRECT
Description:
There is an issue in the configuration of your offer with the MijnLeverbelofte calendar.
How to fix:
Check the MijnLeverbelofte configuration in your account settings. If unresolved, contact Bol partner services for assistance.
Error: BLOCKED
Description:
Your partner account has been temporarily closed.
How to fix:
Reopen your account by following the instructions provided by Bol.
Error: UNMATCHED_OFFER
Description:
The product is blocked and prohibited from being sold on the Bol platform.
How to fix:
Check the assortment guidelines and verify if your product is permitted to be sold. Alternatively, you may need to contact Bol partner services for assistance.
Error: EXCLUSIVE_PRODUCT
Description:
The partner account does not have the appropriate selling rights.
How to fix:
Check the applicable selling rights for your product and request additional permissions if necessary.
Error: FULFILLMENT_NOT_ALLOWED_FOR_CONDITION
Description:
The specified fulfillment method cannot be used in combination with a second-hand product condition. This restriction applies to certain fulfillment options that Bol offers.
How to fix:
Change the fulfillment method to one that is allowed for second-hand products. Refer to Bol’s assortment regulations for more details on which fulfillment methods are compatible with second-hand items.
Error: FULFILLMENT_NOT_ALLOWED_FOR_PRODUCT
Description:
This error occurs when your account lacks the appropriate selling rights or permissions to offer specific products. Several factors could lead to this error:
- The necessary selling rights for the product category or type are missing.
- Selling rights in your account configuration are not set for the product to be sold in a specific country.
- Your partner account has been temporarily closed, preventing the offers from being available.
- Your account does not have the appropriate rights to use the FBB (Fulfillment by Bol) service for certain products.
- The specific product type, such as ebooks, digital products, or medicines, is not permitted to be sold on Bol.
How to fix:
- Check selling rights: Verify if your account has the appropriate selling rights for the product or category. If necessary, follow the process to request additional selling rights from Bol.
- Reopen your account: If your account has been temporarily closed, follow Bol’s instructions to re-open it and ensure your offers are visible to customers.
- Access to FBB: If the issue is related to FBB, check Bol’s guidelines for gaining access to the Logistics via Bol service for your offers.
- Assortment policy: Review Bol’s assortment policy to ensure your product type is allowed on the platform.
Error: INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS (1)
Description:
Products with a second-hand condition cannot be sold within the specified category.
How to fix:
Change the category in which you are selling the second-hand product. For more information on which specific categories permit selling second-hand products, check the Bol assortment policy.
Error: INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS (2)
Description:
Selling rights are missing for your account or specific product types.
How to fix:
Check the applicable selling rights, and if your account has been temporarily closed, re-open it by following the instructions provided by Bol.
Error: BRAND_NOT_ALLOWED
Description:
Selling rights are missing to sell a particular brand within a specific category.
How to fix:
Check the applicable selling rights and request additional permissions if necessary.
Error: FUTURE_RELEASE
Description:
The product is under embargo and cannot be made available to customers.
How to fix:
Contact Bol partner services for assistance if your product has been blocked due to an embargo.
Error: MISSING_RIGHTS_CATEGORY_BRAND
Description:
This error occurs when additional selling rights are required for a specific product category. For example, in certain categories like jewelry, only specific brands are allowed to sell.
How to fix:
Check the applicable selling rights for the product in question. If necessary, follow the process to request additional selling rights from Bol to ensure you can list the product in the correct category.
Error: INTERNAL_PRODUCT_CHECK
Description:
The offer is temporarily blocked because Bol is conducting internal quality checks for this product category.
How to fix:
Wait up to 48 hours for the internal checks to be completed. If the error persists after this period, contact Bol’s partner service for further assistance.
Error: TECHNICAL_ERROR
Description:
The offer is still being processed due to a technical issue encountered by Bol.
How to fix:
Wait up to an hour for the error to resolve. If the error continues, try updating your offer to resolve the issue. If the error persists, consider deleting the offer on Bol and Channable will then re-create the offer when the API is executed.
Error: ASSORTMENT_POLICY_INFRINGEMENT
Description:
Additional information is needed before you can sell this product.
How to fix:
Provide the necessary information through your Bol seller dashboard.
Error: PRICE_NOT_COMPETITIVE
Description:
The price configured for the offer is too high, preventing the offer from being available to customers.
How to fix:
Check the pricing policies and reduce the price of your offer.
Error: NON_EXISTENT_OFFER
Description:
The offer you are trying to update or retrieve has been deleted.
How to fix:
Create a new offer for the product.
Error: NOT_PUBLISHED_BY_SELLER
Description:
The offer has been invalidated and is not available to customers. This may occur for one of the following reasons:
- The onHoldByRetailer parameter has been set to true, which prevents the offer from being visible.
- All offers you handle have been invalidated because your account is set to holiday mode.
How to fix:
- Update the offer: Check if the onHoldByRetailer parameter is set to true. If so, set it to false to make the offer available to customers again.
- Change holiday settings: If your account is in holiday mode, switch your account status back to open on Bol, so your offers become visible again.
Error: UNMATCHED_OFFER
Description:
This error occurs when either the product category or mandatory attributes for the product are missing. While the offer may have been successfully created, additional information is required to make it available to customers.
How to fix:
- Add a product category: Ensure that the product is assigned to the correct category. Without this, the offer cannot be made available to customers.
- Enrich mandatory attributes: Verify and add any missing mandatory attributes for the product In channable. Make sure all required information is provided to ensure the product is correctly listed.
Error: Product not updating on Bol
Description:
Sometimes, products fail to update on Bol without any visible errors in Channable. This issue could be due to a synchronization problem where offer or content data is not being updated.
How to fix:
Option 1: Create a content push rule
- Add a minor change to the description (e.g., a
.
) and increase the price by €0.01 within a rule - Run the API, wait for it to finish, and check if the desired field has been updated (or not). This process may take a couple of hours for changes to become visible on Bol.
- Regardless if the field is updated, you can pause or remove the rule and run the API again to revert the adjusted 'description' and 'price' fields to their original values.
If the content push does not resolve the issue, proceed to Option 2 for further troubleshooting.
Option 2: exclude and re-list the product
Temporarily exclude the product (with a rule) from Bol for 24 hours, then re-run the API to re-list the item.
Contact Bol support
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, contact Bol for insights. If it's confirmed to be a Channable issue, reach out to our support team.
Warning: REJECTED
Description:
Bol has chosen to use another vendor's data or image instead of yours. This is a warning that explains why your product data isn’t visible on Bol.
How to fix:
No action nessecary. Optionally you review the data you provided to ensure they meet Bol's quality standards. If you want your content to be used, consider enhancing the quality or accuracy of the data.
Warning: REJECTED_BY_BRAND_AUTHORITY
Description:
Similar to the REJECTED warning, but with additional information indicating the rejection is tied to brand authority.
How to fix:
No action nessecary. Optionally you can contact the brand or Bol’s partner service to understand the specific brand authority restrictions. If necessary, update your content to comply with the brand's guidelines.
Warning: SCORED_OTHER_IMAGE_WON
Description:
Bol has selected a different image for a specific slot (e.g., FRONT IMAGE). The error message will state: "The file is not selected, another image for this slot has higher quality."
How to fix:
No action nessecary. Optionally you can verify the image quality and specifications. If your image should be used.
Warning: IMAGE NOT PROCESSED AGAIN/IMAGE_RATE_LIMITED
Description:
If Channable uploads the same image link more than once, Bol may not process the image again. This warning indicates that Bol did not reprocess the image because the link remained unchanged.
How to fix:
No action nessecary.
