Lightspeed E-series is the new Lightspeed eCommerce platform. This is also known by its old name 'Ecwid'. Our app works for both new E-series stores as well as old Ecwid stores.
Step 1 - Install the Channable app in your Lightspeed App Market
Navigate to the Lightspeed App Market, search for "Channable" and open the app page. To start the installation process, click 'Install' on the app page.
You will then see the list of permissions our app will need. By clicking on 'Install' again you accept these permissions and the app will be installed.
Step 2 - Create a Channable account or login
After confirming the installation you will be directed to the Channable login screen. Here you can create your Channable account or, if you already have an account, click on "Already have an account? Go to login!" at the bottom of the screen and log in to your Channable account.
Step 3 - Create a Lightspeed connection
Once you're logged in to your Channable account, you will be asked to create a connection. By clicking 'Add connection' the connection is created and you can now use this connection to import your product information in the next steps.
Step 4 - Add your connection to a Channable project
If you are a new user, you first need to create a Channable project by clicking "new project". You will see a popup where you can enter your webshop's name.
After creating your project, you will be forwarded directly to the Setup page. Here, click on the "+ Setup import" button and select your Lightspeed connection to create your import.
Channable automatically reads out all information about your items in Lightspeed and automatically compares them with our internal fields as they are being read (such as price, description, title, etc.). You can choose a field to "map" with our internal fields or type in your own custom name. You can find more information about mapping fields in this article.
You can also opt to add additional (blank) fields to your feed. These fields can for example be used to later be filled for a specific export channel. Additional fields can be added at any time, see this article for more information. You load all the information into Channable by clicking "Save and import".
Step 5 - Importing variants and translations
Variants
Channable imports each variant as a single item. Variants are configured in each product in Lightspeed E-Series under “Options” → “Variations”.
Translations
Some attributes of an item in Lightspeed E-Series are translatable. Channable will import all translations following the naming convention: “{attribute_name}_{locale}”. Each attribute will have a “main” translation in Lightspeed, which is the language of the shop itself. So if for instance, you have a Dutch Lightspeed E-Series shop with the attribute “colour” in both Dutch and English, Channable will import the following fields for the item: {"colour": "rood", "colour_en": "red"}.
Step 6 - Check out your items in the overview
Under Items, you can find all the items from your shop. Depending on the number of items in your shop, it may take a few seconds until all products are fully loaded. By clicking on an item you can view detailed information about it.
