This article explains how you can import your products from Akeneo to Channable, so you can start exporting your products to other channels.
1) Create a new connection in Akeneo
First log into your Akeneo account and go to the "Connect" tab. From there, you click on "Connection settings", followed by "create" in the right top corner:
From here you can create your connection. First, you fill in the Label (e.g. Channable) and the Code will then automatically have the same name. Important is to make sure that Flow type is set to "Data destination".
Click "Save" and you will arrive at the following screen:
2) Create a TwicPics account
Channable needs public image URLs to be able to download and push images to channels. Akeneo does not offer this option. Therefore, a third-party application is required. Akeneo has many applications that you can use to expose a public image URL. TwicPics is the most used (according to Akeneo), and therefore we will recommend this application.
The steps of creating a TwicPics account and linking it to your Akeneo account can be found in this TwicPics documentation.
After finishing the steps and the creation of this account you can find your paths in the 'Workspace' of the app.

3) Create a new connection in Channable
Once you have created an Akeneo account and TwicPics account (if needed), you can create a new connection in Channable. First, you go to "Connections" from the left side menu. Click on "+ Add a new connection" and you will see a screen, where you can select Akeneo.
Then you fill in the fields below. Fill in the Label for your connection, for example: Akeneo.
The Akeneo URL is the domain that can be found when you are on the Akeneo Activity dashboard.
Transfer the credentials that you saved in step 1 of this article, and finally, fill in the TwicPics domain (which can be found in the screenshot of step 2). Finally, click on "Create" and your Akeneo connection will be created.
4) Import your products
The final thing you have to do is to connect the created Akeneo connection in the Setup of your project.
To do this you go to your desired project, click on "Setup" and select the Akeneo connection you just created. Don't forget to give your import connection a name.
After saving the import, the only thing left is to click "Run now". After this products will automatically be imported into Channable!
