Channable's personal account settings provide various functionalities to manage your profile, enhance security, and customize your user experience. This article will walk you through the different sections of the account settings page.
To access the account settings page:
- Navigate to the sidebar: On the left-hand side of the Channable interface, find the sidebar.
- Click on account: In the bottom-left corner, click on Account. (user icon)
- Click on account settings: In the menu that shows up, click on Account Settings.
Account settings
1. Account Information
The Account tab allows you to update your personal details:
- First name and last name: Enter your first and last name.
- Telephone (optional): Add your phone number for contact purposes.
- Language settings: Select the language in which you want to view Channable.
2. Email Settings
In the Email tab, you can manage the email address associated with your Channable user account. Please note that:
- If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, you cannot change your email address.
- Updating your email address will not affect your access to the companies linked to your account.
3. Password Management
The Password tab allows you to change your account password. To do this:
- Current password: Enter your current password.
- New password: Choose a new password.
- Repeat new password: Confirm the new password.
Click Save to update your password.
4. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
The Multi-Factor Authentication tab provides an extra layer of security. Here’s how to manage MFA:
- Status: Shows if MFA is enabled or disabled.
- Recovery codes: View and save your recovery codes.
- Disable MFA: Enter your password and click Disable to turn off MFA.
