In this article, you'll learn how to install the Shopify Channable app to import product data from your Shopify web shop into Channable.
Before you start
You’ll need
- A Shopify account with a webshop
Good to know
- You can only connect one Channable account to a Shopify store.
- For Channable subscriptions and add-ons related to your Shopify integration, you'll be invoiced through Shopify in USD. This means your Channable billing cycle might differ from our standard invoicing, but all charges will appear on your Shopify invoices. For a full explanation of how Shopify users pay for Channable, see our detailed guide.

- For Choose language, select the primary language of your product data.Note: To import product data in additional languages, you'll need to create separate Shopify imports for each language.

- Only import active products: Select Yes to only import products with an 'active' status. Products with an 'archived' or 'draft' status will be excluded.
- Only import from collection ID: Enter a Shopify collection ID to filter products belonging to that specific collection. All other products will be ignored.
- Click Start import. You'll be redirected to the Edit Mapping page to map your product information.
Step 3: Map your products
This page displays fields retrieved from your Shopify account (e.g. price, description, title). In this step, you match your imported fields to Channable's standardized project fields. Channable does most mapping automatically, but it's important to review and adjust before importing.
-
Compare and adjust mapping.
- Review your Import fields against Channable's matched Project fields. If a field was matched incorrectly, click on the field to select a different field.
-
Check and correct field types.
- Check that the right field type is assigned to your project fields. If a field has the wrong type, click Edit next to the field, select the correct type in the dropdown, and click Save & Import.
-
Exclude fields (optional).
- To exclude a field from being included in your product data, click the checkbox in the Select column for that field and click Do not import selected fields.
- Once you've finished mapping, click Save & Import to start importing your Shopify product data.
Step 4: Review your imported items
After your product data has finished importing:
- Go to the Items page to view your imported products.
- Click on an item to see detailed information.
Your Shopify import is now successfully set up! You can now use this product data to create and optimize Feeds, Marketplaces, Shopping Ads, and more in Channable.
