Preparation
Ensure a seamless integration by completing the following steps:
- Create your Channable account: Before setting up a Shopify import, create a Channable account following the steps outlined in this article.

Pricing information: Shopify users manage invoicing through Shopify in USD. Your invoice will specify charges for Channable subscriptions and any add-ons. Refer to our detailed guide for setup instructions.
After you have created a Channable account and the pricing information with Shopify is clear, you can begin setting up your import, we discuss every step in detail.

Step 2: Creating your Shopify connection
After logging into your Channable account or creating a new one, follow these steps to establish a connection with your Shopify store:

Initiate connection setup: Upon logging in, a pop-up will appear containing the connection with your Shopify store.

Create connection: Next, click Add connection. This action will initiate the process of linking your Shopify store with your Channable account.

Connection confirmation: Once completed, you will have successfully established a Shopify connection in your Channable account. You can now proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Setting up your Shopify import in your project
After adding your Shopify connection, navigate to the overview page where all your projects are displayed in Channable.
If you're already using Channable, access "Setup" and click on "+ Setup import" to continue from step 2.

Create a new project by clicking Add new project, providing a label, and then clicking Save to finalize. You'll automatically be directed to the "Connections" page.

Select your newly created Shopify connection from the list.

You will now see the settings for your Shopify import, click Save.
You will then be directed to the "Edit mapping" page. On this page, you will see the fields that are being imported from your Shopify store. Channable automatically retrieves key data, such as price, description, and title, and links them to the appropriate internal fields. Want to learn more about how import mapping works in Channable? To complete the integration with Shopify in Channable, scroll down and click "Save & import". This will directly import the data from Shopify into Channable.

Step 4: Review your imported items
Once your webshop data is imported into Channable, navigate to the Items section to view all products. Click on any item for detailed information.
Next, proceed to create your export channels by setting up feeds and APIs. For more info on how to set up feeds and APIs, check out our help center feeds section and our help center APIs section respectively.

Optional settings
After setting up your Shopify import, you're able to enrich your data by enabling additional fields. Do keep in mind that these optional settings can slow down your import update speed.
- Metafields: Import metafields specified on product level. The metafields in the import will be prefixed by 'meta_'.
- Variant metafields: Import metafields specified on the variant level. The imported metafields be prefixed by 'meta_'.
- Cost per item: Import the cost of an item.
- Country/Region of origin: Import the location where the product was manufactured or assembled.
- Product stock per location: Import the stock per inventory location.
- Sales channels: Import a list of sales channels in which the product is published.
Import filter
At 'Import filter', there are four options:

Select no filters:
- Import all products from Shopify into Channable.
- Do not select one of the filters and do not add a collection ID.

Select Only import active products:
- Import only the products with an 'active' status into Channable. Products with an 'archived' or 'draft' status will be excluded from the import process.

Select Only import from collection ID:
- Filter products belonging to a specific Shopify collection id. All other products will be ignored and not imported into Channable.
- Import all products with into Channable ( 'active', 'archived' and 'draft') that belong to the specified collection.
- At the input field, add a Shopify collection ID.
Note: This id should be a valid collection id in your Shopify store. Only provide the digits of the id.

Select both Only import active products and Only import from collection ID:
- Filter products 'active' products from the specified collection.
- Select Only import active products and add a collection ID at Only import from collection ID.
Once you have decided on the right option, click Save.
