1) Install the Channable app in your Shopify App Store
Navigate to the Shopify App Store and search for "Channable". You will then see one Channable app as a search result which you can select to install. Once you have selected the app, you will be asked for permission to install the read-rights of all products. Channable has no write privileges.
2) Create your own Channable account
After verification, you will be directed to the Channable login screen. Here you can create your Channable account or if you already have an account click on "Already have an account? Go to login!" at the bottom of the screen and login to your Channable account.
Note: If you are already logged into your Channable account you can go to step 3.
3) Add your Shopify connection to your Channable account
Once you have logged into or (newly created) Channable account, you will see a pop-up containing the connection with your Shopify store. Here, click on the button "Create connection" and you will have created a Shopify connection in your Channable account.
4) Add a new project in Channable for your shop
After adding you Shopify connection, you will see an overview of all your shops in Channable. If you are a new user, your shop will not be added here yet. Add your shop in a project by clicking the button "Add new project". You will see a popup where you can enter your webshop's name and URL.
5) Add your Shopify connection as an import to your project
After creating your shop, you will be forwarded directly to the Setup page. Here, click on the "+ Setup import" button, select your Shopify connection to create your import with, and click on "Continue".
When adding a Shopify import connection, you can also select the language you want to import in before clicking on "Continue":

Channable automatically reads out all information of your items in Shopify and automatically compares them with our internal fields as they are being read (such as price, description, title etc). Click on "Save & Import" to starting importing your items into Channable.
6) Check out your imported items in the overview
Under Items you can find all the items from your shop. Depending on the number of items in your shop, it may take a few seconds until all products are fully loaded. If you click on an item you can view detailed information about it.
7) Start creating your feeds and APIs and set your account live
Now that your webshop data is successfully imported into Channable, you can start creating your export channels. For more info on how to setup feeds ands APIs, check out our help center feeds section and our help center APIs section respectively.

The metafields in your Shopify back-end will not be picked up automatically by Channable. If you would like your metafields to be imported, feel free to contact our technical support. If you have metafields on variant level, this is also something we can import now. Please also contact technical support if you would like to activate this. Note that metafields will slow down your import.
