Beslist is a Dutch marketplace that requires two essential elements for a successful connection: the feed and the order connection. Before proceeding, your webshop needs to be approved for the "winkelwagen model" (shopping cart system) by Beslist. Contact your Beslist representative or Beslist directly if you do not yet have a contact person.
- Setting up your Beslist feed
- Activate your feed and copy the URL
- Setting up the required Beslist order connection
Setting up your Beslist feed
Follow these steps to set up your Beslist feed:
- Navigate to [Your project] > Feeds
- Click +Add new feed.
- Search for "Beslist" and select the Beslist feed.
- Next, fill in your Feed name
-
Select your Target country from the dropdown.
-
Select the Type of market, which is the specific category or sector of the retail market for your products.
- Click on Advanced settings to edit more settings for your feed.
- Once you have completed your feed settings, click Continue.
-
Beslist requires the correct Google categories for your products.
-
If your webshop already has the correct Google categories, you can skip the categorization step in the Beslist feed in Channable. For reference, you can find the Google Taxonomy for the correct categories in the attachment at the end of this article.
-
If your products are not correctly categorized in your webshop, you'll need to categorize them in Channable to ensure accuracy.
In both scenarios, there's an additional step: you must link the category attribute in the 'Finalize' step. If you’re using your own correct categories, select your own category field. If you’ve categorized within the feed, make sure to use the internal category field.
-
-
Create different Rules to optimize your product data. For example, take a look at our common rules support article.
- Link the correct attributes in the Finalize step.
Tip! For a description of the channel attributes, hover over the gray question mark icons with your cursor. -
Check your feed in the Quality and Preview steps. If there are any errors for mandatory attributes, solve these first by optimizing your product data with rules and/or connecting the right attributes in the Finalize step. Repeat if needed.
Additional requirements for Beslist
For Beslist there are recommended attributes that need to be filled as well. More information on this and other important facts about the set-up are described below:
-
EAN
EANs are obligatory for electronics, computers & software and household appliances. When there is no EAN available for your products in these categories, it's required to connect a SKU and brand. -
Levertijd_nl/be
The shipping time as shown in your webshop. It's very important and required that your products have the shipping time 'Niet leverbaar' if they are not in stock or not for sale. -
Model code
If there are different colors available for the same product, this code has to be the same for all colors of this product. This model code can be used by Beslist to connect these products to each other. -
Variant code
A code that is shared for all sizes of a product is required for shoes and clothing. A variant code is a combination between the model code and the color (see image below). If color is not available, search for another field that is the same for all sizes and therefore can be used to make a variant code.
-
Winkelproductcode
Make sure to always connect the field 'id' here. -
Product maat (=size)
Obligatory for clothing and shoes. -
Voorraad (=stock)
When using Channable orders, make sure that the correct stock field is connected. -
Weergave
If a product needs to be visible on Beslist (in stock and for sale), fill this field with '1'. Fill with '0' when the product shouldn't be visible.
Important: When a product is deleted from the feed without being pushed with 'weergave 0' first, the product will remain visible on Beslist. Also see the bold part in 'levertijd_be/nl'.
Activate your feed and copy the URL
Once the Beslist feed is set up, activate it in the Settings tab. Then run the feed, copy the URL from the Preview step, and send it to your Beslist contact person for a feed check.
Beslist most likely will provide feedback on your feed, as they follow high standards. You can address their feedback by consulting our help center article about optimizing your feeds based on feedback.
Important update on scheduling
- Every 2 Hours: Beslist updates the following attributes: 'prices', 'delivery time', 'shipping costs', 'stock', and the 'weergave' column.
- Twice daily imports: New items are imported and processed by Beslist twice a day, at 8 am and 7 pm.
For more details on these processes, refer to this Beslist article.
Setting up the required Beslist order connection
An order connection is mandatory if you're using Beslist's 'Winkelwagen model' (shopping cart system), as it is essential for syncing orders and providing real-time stock updates between your ecommerce platform and Beslist. However, if you use Beslist's CPC (Cost Per Click) model, an order connection is not required.
Important considerations
- Additional costs: Using a Channable order connection comes with additional costs. For more details, please refer to the help center article.
- Platform compatibility: Check this article to ensure that Channable supports your ecommerce platform before proceeding.
Creating the connection
Setting up an order connection with Beslist works slightly different, as it requires an API connection, unlike the Beslist feed, which doesn't need one. To proceed, you'll need to gather API credentials, You can obtain this information by contacting your Beslist representative.
When you have received the API credentials, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to 'Connections' > '+Add a new connection' and select 'Beslist'.
- Once there you have to fill in the API credentials (API Key, Order Key, Client ID, and Shop ID) additionally give the connection an easy-to-find label.
- Click 'Create' in the bottom left of the screen.
Now that the API connection with Beslist is created, setting up the order connection follows the same process as with other platforms. For the steps, check out this article!
