Note I: EAN codes are mandatory for Fnac. Make sure you have valid EAN codes for all your products, otherwise no product listings can be created for your products.
Note II: This article assumes you have already advertised on Fnac with your products. If you are new to adverting on Fnac, please also read our support article on how to add unknown EAN codes to Fnac.
Step 1: Contact Fnac for your API credentials
If you do not have a pro vendor account on Fnac yet, you can create one via the following link: https://mp.fnac.com/vendre/pro.
Now that you have a pro vendor account you can contact Fnac in order to get your credentials API keys. Once you have received your credentials keep them on hand, you will need them for the next step.
Step 2: Create a new Fnac API in Channable
Go to Channable, open your project and go to APIs > Add new API. A new screen will open with the API Settings where you can click on the "+ Add new connection" button.
You will be forwarded to an overview where you will see two Fnac connections which you can select. Be sure to select the connection named "Fnac Offers", not the one named "Fnac Products".
Fill in a name for the connection under "Label", we recommend naming the connection Fnac Offer API. Fill out your Shop ID which you received from Fnac in step 1 and click the "Create" button to save your connection.
You will the be redirected back to the API Settings step where you can give your API a name. After choosing a name click on the "Continue" button to create your new Fnac Offers API.
Step 3: Create your product listings in Channable
Once you have created the API, actually creating your product listings is very simple and fast. You can create your product listings by following the four steps shown below in the Fnac API.
- Categories
You can skip this step as the API does not use the categories. - Rules
Create different rules to optimize your product data. For examples take a look at our common rules support article. - Build
At the image below you can find our preset template for the product listings. All you have to do is to fill it out by clicking on the field itself and selecting what you would like to go in there. For example, the field 'Title' should display the title of your product and so on. When you have finished setting up the product listings, just click 'save' on the bottom of the screen.
Tip! Notice the question mark behind every field, if you hover over the question mark you will see the description of the field and suggestions for possible values. - Attributes
You can skip this step as the API does not use the attributes.
Step 4: Send your product listings to Fnac
Almost there, your product listings are ready to be sent. If you have not activated your project go to Settings panel on the left hand side of the screen and click 'activate project'. After, go back to the APIs overview and go to "Your Fnac API Name" > Settings where you activate the API by selecting "Activate API". After you have completed this step navigate back to then APIs overview and select the blue "Run now" button to sent your product listings to Fnac.
Step 5: Check your product listings for errors
If you have sent you product listings to Fnac go to the Preview tab of your Fnac API. Click filter on 'error'. Now you can see which product listings have errors and are not placed. Click on a specific error to see more information on what is causing the error and check out our error solutions section on how to correct errors.
Error "ERR_026"
If you receive error "ERR_026" this means that your products are not yet known on Fnac. To solve this error read our support article on how to add unknown EAN codes to Fnac.
