What is an XML?

This article will provide you with information about what an XML file is and how you can use it as an import feed in Channable.

XML is an abbreviation for eXtensible Markup Language and with it you can save your data in a structured way. In an XML the structured data is shown as 'plain text' and an XML file is mainly used to transfer data information.

Importing an XML file in Channable

In the Channable Tool there are multiple options for importing your data, one of which is importing your data through an XML feed. The XML file needs to be accessible through an online location, for example: "http://custom.channable.com/examplefeed.xml". With this online location you can setup your XML feed in your Channable account.

What is the difference between XML and HTML?

Both XML and HTML files contain data that is shown in between codes, but this is the only similarity between the two. An XML file is used to transfer data information while HTML code is used to layout a piece of text.
