If you want to import your products from BigCommerce, follow the guide below to set up your import connection.
Step 1 - Add a new BigCommerce connection
Login to your Channable account and choose the project where you want to import your BigCommerce products into (or create a new project). In the project, go to "Setup > Setup import" and add a new import. You should now see the screen below:
Choose the "New import connection" option. In the next screen, select the BigCommerce import connection. Give the connection a clear name under 'label' and then click on 'Create'.
Step 2 - Create a new API account in BigCommerce
In Channable, you will now see a screen where you need to fill in your Store ID, Access Token, and Client ID. To get this information, you will need to create a new API account in your BigCommerce environment.
Log in to your BigCommerce in a new tab. To create a new API account in BigCommerce, navigate to "Settings > API > Store-level API accounts". Click on the button "Create new API account".
For the connection with Channable, you need to create a V2/V3 API token.
Now, fill in the name you want to give to this API connection and configure the rights for this API account. You can fill in the name you want to give this account.
Under "OAuth scopes", make sure "Products" and "Information & settings" have the "read-only" scope. The rest of the scopes can remain on "None".
After you save the new API account, you will see an overview of the API credentials. A text file with all of the credentials will be downloaded automatically as well.
Step 3 - Fill in the API credentials in Channable
Now, go back to Channable and fill in the required information. You can copy the Store ID, Access Token, and Client ID from the text file. You can find the store ID in the "API path" link:
Finally, click on "Create". You have now successfully created a new BigCommerce import connection!
