This article explains what the "SimilarAds" error is and how to solve the error in Channable. In Microsoft Ads, similar ads are treated as one ad when requesting them via the Microsoft Ads API.
Two ads are seen as the same by Microsoft Ads when there are two ads in one ad group with exactly the same text except for capitalization differences. For the example ads below, Microsoft Ads would tell us that both ads have the same Microsoft Ads ID:
There are two possible solutions for similar ads errors in Channable:
1. Make sure that both products have exactly the same content including capitalization, for example by applying the "modify text" rule.
2. Exclude one of the items which causes the similar ad error. By doing this, one ad will be created/updated with the values of the item which is still present. You can exclude by either excluding or grouping items in the rules.
Note: because of the Microsoft Ads API specifications, it is not possible to add two similar ads in the same adgroup. If you do want to advertise two similar ads, add them to separate adgroups.
