Export feed safety settings

Where can I find the safety options?

With the export safety options you can set up safety measures for when the number of items in your export changes. You can find the export safety options in your project by navigating to Feeds > Settings > Safety. Here you will see an overview in which you can select the safety options you want to use.

Note I: If you want to use this option, you must set this per feed.

Note II: This setting is optional and for now only available for feeds.

There are several options to choose from for the "Action on difference":

  1. No action:
    This is the default setting. No matter how large or small the change of numbers in your export, you will not receive a notification of the change.
  2. Send notification:
    If you choose this setting we will email you whenever there is change in the number of items compared to the previous export. The new number of items will still be exported. 
    Note: We only send an email once following the change in number of items, because after that the new number of items will be viewed as the "default" situation.
  3. Block and send notification:
    In addition to emailing you, the export will be blocked and an error and "Failed" status will appear for the feed export. The error will continue to appear until the safety block is removed or the data in your feed has changed.

Difference margin

If you select the action option "Send notification" or "Block and send notification" two further options will appear in which you can set the threshold which will trigger the action.

  1. Action on negative difference:
    The percentage you select here will be used to check if an action needs to be taken whenever there is a decrease in the number of items in your feed export.
  2. Action on positive difference:
    The percentage you select here will be used to check if an action needs to be taken whenever there is a increase in the number of items in your feed export.
