this video.
Step 1 - Creating a Channable Insights Dashboard
Note I: It's important to set a unique ID per item when importing, because different sources will be connected to each other. This can be set in the setup > project settings and this is usually set to "ID".
Note II: You need an active
order connection in order to be able to setup CPS dashboards, since they are based on order data. For Insights, an ERP or PIM system, it is possible setup a
Channable API and use that to setup CPS dashboards. Keep in mind that in this case an active order connection is still required.

When you have done this, you can navigate to Setup > Setup Insights to create a Channable Insights Dashboard. Here you can select the channel you would like to collect data from, give it a name, choose the date range setting, select the date range for importing revenue and cost information.
Note I: For Google Shopping you also need to select the revenue source. "Google Analytics" is the connection in Channable where we retrieve the fields "revenue" and "sessions" from.
Note II: Before, you could define conversion actions in Channable, in the Settings menu of an Insights dashboard. Here, you could select a conversion action based on all the conversion actions in the Google Ads account linked to it. Now, you have to set the conversion actions in Google in the ‘include in conversions’ column. If the conversion action is set to
yes
, it is included in the Insights dashboard. Data from other conversion actions are not downloaded.

In addition, you can choose to group the revenue and cost information based on category/brand/any other data combination.

At the Date range setting you can choose between two options: rolling date and fixed date range.
Rolling date range is a moving date range, for example last 30 days or last 7 days. This is relative because it moves with the current date. A fixed date range has a fixed start and end date.
You can create multiple Insights dashboards for the same channel but for multiple date ranges and/or different data combinations.
Important: If you choose to use Insights for Google Shopping, you may encounter the following message:

This means that you still have to fill in the 'cost connection'. You can do this by going to your Google Shopping feeds, and then to Settings > Cost settings. It is also possible that the Google Merchant ID is still missing, this can also be filled in under Settings > Cost settings.

Important: You will need a Google Ads connection for this. Make sure you connect with the right account where your conversion actions are defined on Google. Are your conversion actions defined in a
client account? You will need to connect your client Google Ads account. Are your conversion actions defined on a
manager account? You will need to connect your manager Google Ads account. More information can be found
here.
Step 2 - How can I view the Insights data?
Channable Insights has a separate view in the Channable dashboard. You can find this view under Dashboard > Dashboard Insights. Here you will find a graph that shows the revenue in comparison with the costs.

If you want to view the statistics at product level, you can click on this product and here you will also find a graph and a data overview.
