Rules are the heart and soul of Channable. You will find the Rules section in all core features of Channable: in your export feeds, API channels, Text Ads generators and Shopping Ads generators. Each channel, such as Google Shopping, Amazon and Bing Ads, demands your data in its own way, which makes the rules section crucial. With rules you are able to manipulate, optimize and enrich your imported data, creating the perfect export that meets all requirements of your chosen channel.
In Channable you will find two types of rules, the rules section specific to a channel, that apply only to one export, and also the rules in the Master rules section, that are independent of any channel and you can easily apply to your different exports.
Rules consist of two parts, an ‘if’ part and a ‘then’ part. With the use of these if-then statements you can do everything a coder can. The ‘if’ decides which items you want to target, for instance all items that have no image link or no price. With the ‘then’ statement you can then apply an action to these targeted items, for example exclude them or change the information in a certain field.
