The Rules section of your feed is where you will be able to alter and optimize the data you have imported into Channable and intend to send to an export feed (for example, Google Shopping or Facebook). Rules are the heart and soul of Channable and if you haven't already it would be worth your time to quickly read this article: What are rules in Channable?
In the rules section you can create new rules or even copy rules from other feeds and API setups.
Rules consist of two parts: an ‘if’-part and a ‘then’-part. With the use of these if-then statements, you can do everything a coder can. The ‘if’ decides which items you want to target, for instance all items that have no image link or no price. With the ‘then’ statement you can then apply an action to these targeted items, for example exclude them or change the information in a certain field. To understand the full power of 'then'-statements please read this article.
By using the Rules and checking the QualityRe step of the feed you will be able to ensure that your feed shows no errors and is ready to be sent to the marketplace. Please have a look the following rules detailed in our Help Center to see how Rules can help optimize your data:
We have many more rules that you can use to alter, optimize, filter and exclude items with. For a full overview, see this section of our Help Centre.
