If you are using Magento 2 as your e-commerce platform to list your products on marketplaces through Channable and want an order connection for one of the supported marketplaces, please follow the guide below.
READ FIRST I: It is important to follow the instructions below in order to get the Orders plugin working properly. It is your responsibility to configure the Orders plugin in Magento 2. We are not responsible for any wrong settings in Magento 2.
READ FIRST II: The guide below is intended for you to configure the Orders plugin with the default settings we always use to get the plugin working properly. You can, of course, configure it differently based on your own preferences. The plugin contains more options than the default settings we initially recommend. Any changes are yours to make, but we are not able to advise you on this.
Step 1: Configure the Default Storeview settings of the plugin
If you have the Magmodules Channable plugin for Magento 2 installed in your Magento store, the Order API is automatically installed as well. Make sure you have the latest version of the plugin, you can check this page.
Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Magmodules > Channable: Orders, Items & returns.
You will automatically be in the ‘Default storeview’, where you need to configure the following settings and activate the plugin:
- Enable: Yes
- Default Shipping Method: Channable Shipping
- Fallback Shipping Method: Channable Shipping
- Import customers: No
Now, scroll down to the Item Update settings. You can turn on the Item updates here (also called 'Stock updates' or 'Product updates'). In Channable, stock updates will show in the Orders > Product Updates tab. Activate the item updates and configure the following:
- Frequency: Custom
- Custom Frequency: */5 * * * * (this means the stock will be updated every 5 minutes)
- Products per run: 20
Note: If you do not want stock updates, you can keep the Item Update option deactivated and skip these settings.
Go back to the top and save the configuration of the default storeview.
Step 2: Activate item updates in the connected Storeview
If you have activated the Item Updates in Step 2.2., go to the ‘Configuration’ of the storeview that is connected to Channable. If you have multiple storeviews connected to Channable (for example for multiple countries in separate Channable projects), make sure you go to the right storeview: the one that is connected to the Channable project you want the order connection set up. You can check which storeview you have connected to Channable by going to your project in Channable and navigate to Setup > Setup import > [Magento import] Settings. Now, click on the Magento connection to see the configuration including the Store ID.
In the correct storeview, activate the Item Update. The webhook field will remain empty and will automatically be filled after the order connection is configured and activated in Channable.
Step 3: Contact Channable support for the order connection
After you have configured the above settings, the Orders plugin in Magento is ready for the order connection. Please contact our support team, so we can set up the order connection in Channable and inform you about next steps!
