An important aspect of selling online is to offer your products for a good price. A price that is attractive is for the consumer, but that is certainly also beneficial for you as an online seller. The trick is to find a good dynamic for this and to offer better prices than your competitor. At Channable, we've been working hard on a much-requested feature that can help you with this: The Channable Repricer for Amazon.
This feature allows you to keep your prices competitive and relevant on Amazon. The overall goal is to win the buy-box, and we offer you different strategies to achieve that. The Buy Box Targeting strategy is always focusing on keeping your prices as low as possible. The Competitor targeting strategy provides more options to filter out competitors to compete with.
Shared Buy Boxes
Amazon has shared buy boxes, meaning there can be multiple buy box winners per product. Which of those winners is shown in the buy box at Amazon is decided by factors that Amazon has control over. For example, being logged in as an Amazon Prime user or not. Channable doesn't know the exact factors. This means that even if Channable shows in the tool that a product has the buy box, it might mean that you don’t see it in the buy box on Amazon because it is shared with another product. There can also be no buy box winners for an offer.
Pre-strategy
Before you start, you have to determine a minimum and maximum price for every product. You can use the general rules engine and dynamic fields for this. The Repricer will not run on products that don’t have a min/max price set up.
In general, Channable sets the maximum price for all products on which you don't have any competition. This also happens when you are directly competing with Amazon and using the Buy Box strategy. The reason for the latter is that it's almost impossible to win the buy-box if you are directly competing with Amazon.
The minimum price is set to determine what your threshold for repricing is: we will never reprice your products below this price.
