# Importvelden

Wanneer je [productdata importeren](/import-data/import-data-nl/readme.md) Naar Channable, of door een eCommerce platform te koppelen of door een gegevensbron zoals een XML-bestand te uploaden, zal Channable gebruik maken van de informatie in je import om je productgegevens in Channable te structureren.

We noemen dit ‘Mapping’. Eigenlijk is het proces van het kijken naar de data die jij aanlevert en het zeggen: “Oké, in jouw target noem jij dit stukje informatie ‘country’, maar in Channable noemen we het ‘shipping country’, en dat is wat Google Shopping (of een ander exportkanaal) verwacht dat het Naar ‘shipping country’ genoemd wordt wanneer we het Naar hen sturen. Laten we ervoor zorgen dat we de data die je hebt aangeleverd matchen met wat het kanaal Naar zal ontvangen”.

Mapping maakt het mogelijk voor Channable om productdata vanuit een verscheidenheid van bronnen te verwerken en te standaardiseren, zodat je je producten Naar elk ondersteund kanaal kunt Lijst.

Ongeacht de importmethode die je in gebruik hebt, kijkt Channable naar je geïmporteerde gegevens en splitst en organiseert automatisch alle informatie van die import in wat we ‘importvelden’ noemen. Bijvoorbeeld, je kunt importvelden hebben die er zo uitzien:
