Automatic campaigns automatically adjust your bidding and targeting based on bol’s algorithm suggestions. To help your campaign perform, bol assigns your products top-performing keywords and relevant categories. You only need to set a daily budget and ACoS Target.

If you’ve already imported your bol listings to your Channable account, skip to Step 3.

### Step 1: Download your bol listings

1. Log in to your bol Seller account.
2. Go to **Artikelen** > **Mijn artikelen.**
3. Select the items you want to export by clicking the checkbox. To select all products, click the checkbox ‘Selecteer items uit de lijst om acties op uit te voeren’. You can download up to 150 products at a time.
4. In the **Bewerk productinformatie** section, click **Download Excel-bestand** to create an Excel template with your product data.
5. Review your data to make sure all necessary data is included (e.g. product names, EANs, descriptions).
6. Convert your excel file into an accessible online file format.

### Step 2: Set up your import

1. Log in to Channable. In **\[Your project]**, go to **Setup**.
2. Click **Add import** and select your file import type.
3. Fill in your import information:
   * For **Name**, use a descriptive name.
   * For **file URL**, paste the URL from your import feed.
4. Click **Save**.
5. In the **Edit mapping** tab, map any missing fields.

### Step 3: Create a bol connection

1. In **\[your Project]**, go to **Shopping ads** > **Bol ads** and click **+ Add dynamic Bol Ads channel**.
2. Click **+ Add a new connection** and select **Bol ads**.
3. Provide a label (name) for your connection (e.g. “bol”). This name is only used within Channable to help you find your connections.
4. Click **Connect with Bol ads**. We’ll redirect you to log in to your bol account.

After you log in, bol will direct you back to Channable, and your connection will appear.

### Step 4: Create a bol ads channel

1. Select the **Bol** channel and click **Next**.
2. Click on the bol ads connection and fill in the following information:
   * For **Name**, give your channel a name.
   * For **Unique ID per item**, select the EAN field.
   * For **Use master rule group (if applicable):** select a master rule to apply to your ads.
   * For **Status,** ignore this for now, as we still need to set up the remaining parts of your shopping ads before we activate it.
3. Click **Save**.

### Step 5: Set up rules

You can create rules that only affect this specific campaign. For example, to create a campaign for a specific product, you can exclude product categories that aren’t your target item.

1. Navigate to the **Rules** step.
2. Add rules based on your campaign goals.

### Step 6: Create a campaign

1. Go to the **Campaign** step and click **+ add campaign generator**.
2. Fill in the information:
   * For **Name**, name your generator. This name is only used within Channable to help identify your campaign among other campaigns. You can set up an official campaign name (that will be visible to bol) in **Campaign settings** in the next step.
   * For the **Targeting type**, choose **Automatic**.
3. Go to the new **Rules** step in your campaign generator to set up specific rules tailored to a specific campaign (for example, exclude other brands).

### Step 7: Configure your campaign settings

1. Go to the **Build** step.
2. In the **Campaign settings** heading, fill in the following information:
   * For **Campaign template**, set up the template name using the same format that you use in your existing bol ads campaigns. You can find this in the **Campaign Overview** section in your bol seller account.
     * Important: This must be the exact same name as your ads campaign in bol, and is case sensitive.
   * For **Countries**, select the country/countries you want to advertise in.
   * For **Targeting channels**, select where you’d like to advertise.
   * For **Daily budget**, set a daily budget for your campaigns. This can be a static number or a dynamic field. To have an unlimited budget, enter 0.
   * For **Total budget**, set the entire budget for your campaign (i.e. your piggy bank). To have an unlimited budget, enter 0.
     * Important: It’s only possible to set an unlimited budget for one of your budgets. This means you can’t have an unlimited budget for your daily AND total budget.
   * Set a **ACoS target percentage** to align your ad spending with your ad performance. This guides bol’s algorithm to meet your ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales) target. This is a dynamic field.
3. Click **Save**.

### Step 8: Set up your ad group generator

You can create multiple ad groups per campaign to organize your ads, making them easier to manage and review. This also helps ensure your keywords align with relevant products.

1. In the **Ad groups** heading:
   * The **Ad group template** field allows you to generate several ad groups at once. Fill in a static value to create just one, or add a dynamic field to create multiple campaigns based on the dynamic value.
     * Example: Create ad groups at brand level.
   * For **Targeting pages**, select where you’d like your ads to appear on bol:
     * Search - on the search page.
     * Product - on the product details page when a product is being viewed.
     * Category - on the category pages.
2. Click **Save**.

### Step 9: Set up negative keywords

Fine-tune your campaign with negative keywords that stop your ads from showing when certain search terms are used. Negative keywords help prevent Ads from being shown to customers searching for irrelevant products.

1. Go to the **Campaigns** step. In the Edit column, click the **Build** step for your automatic campaign. This takes you to the **Negative keywords** tab.
2. Click **+ New negative keyword**. Build your keyword using one or more of the following options:
   * **Use dynamic fields** — Click the **+** icon to select and add a dynamic field. You can also use a dynamic keyword list field, if you’ve created one.
   * **Manually enter keywords** — Type specific keywords to control which search terms to exclude your ads from.
   * **Copy keywords** — Click **Copy keywords** to duplicate keywords from another campaign.
3. In the Type column, select the way/s you want your products to be searched:
   * **Phrase** — Your keyword triggers if the keyword is part of a longer search phrase
   * **Exact** — Your keyword triggers if the keyword exactly matches the search
4. Click **Save**.

### Step 10: Preview your results before launch

1. Go to the **Preview** step.

2. Configure the rule group:

   * For **Campaign selection**, select the campaign you’d like to apply the rule group to.
   * For **Date range**, set the date range of the performance data for the rule to read from.
3. Click **Add automation rule**.

5. Click to activate your rule. Click **Save**.

You can review all the actions that your rules will trigger once you run your campaign in the **Action log** tab.

Note: Changes from automation rules are only applied in the next run, and only the last action for a specific keyword is considered.

### Step 12: Launch your campaign

1. Click on the **Settings** step of **\[your bol ads channel]**.
2. At ‘Status’ click **Activate API**, and **Save**.
3. Go to the **Campaigns** step.
4. In the **Settings** step (in **Campaigns**), at ‘Status’, click **Activate** and **Save**. Repeat this step for each campaign you want to activate.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://helpcenter.channable.com/list-advertise/bol/how-to-set-up-bol-ads-campaigns/how-to-manage-existing-bol-ads-campaigns-in-channable.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
