How to set up a bol channel
Bol (formerly bol.com) is a popular marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium that sells a range of general goods.
In this article, you’ll learn how to connect bol to your Channable account and set up a bol channel to create and manage your bol product listings.
Important: If you add products after setting up your bol channel or if your products don’t meet bol's requirements, you might see errors like ‘productinformatie zwak’ (weak product information) or missing images in your bol seller account. To fix this, complete the Categories and Attributes steps.
Before you start
You'll need
A bol seller account
To log out of your bol account before starting: Staying logged in can cause automatic login issues when connecting Channable to bol.
Products with EAN (European Article Number) codes: bol will only list products with valid EAN codes.
An active connection: Your channel can fail to run if your bol connection expires. If this happens, refresh your connection.
Good to know
Shop settings must match your market: If your shop country is the Netherlands, your products will be listed on bol NL. If your shop country is Belgium, your products will appear on bol BE.

In Channable, go to Projects > [Your project] > Channels.
Click + Create Channel, search for and select bol.

Create product listings
To set up your product listings, you need to provide specific information to bol.
Note: bol should be able to assign product categories based on your EAN codes, so you can skip the Categories step for now.
Go to the Build step.
In the Shared attributes tab, configure the following information:.
In the Item section, click the dropdown next to the attribute to map it to its corresponding field from your import data (e.g.
titlefor ‘Title’,stockfor ‘Stock’)Tip: You can hover over for more information on specific field requirements.
At Delivery code (optional), set a shipping time for your products.
At Volume discount (optional), click + Volume discount to set discounts for customers who bulk buy your products.

For Images, link the images or media assets to include in your bol product listings:
To add a Labelled asset, click + Add labelled asset. For Link, map the field containing your label images. For Label, indicate where the label is located/what kind of label it is.
To add an image, click + Image. A new field will appear. Click on it and map the field containing your images.
Map any remaining fields marked as required by marketplace.
Click Save to save your changes.
Fulfill GPSR and DSA requirements
The European Union (EU) has introduced new GPSR and DSA requirements for online platforms, including marketplaces.
In order to become compliant with GPSR on bol, follow these steps.
Follow bol's instructions to add an economic operator to your seller account. Make a note of your economic operator's name.
In Channable, open [your bol channel] and go to the Build step.
At the Economic operator attribute, click the dropdown and select Manual. Add the name of your economic operator in the text field (at Enter a value here)
If you use multiple economic operators, you'll need to create a new project field containing your economic operators and use rules to divide the names of your economic operators among your products. After you create this, map the field here (Project fields > [your economic operator field])
Click Save.
Connect to bol
To both send your listings and check them for errors, you need to connect your channel to your bol seller account.
Important: Nothing will change in your bol account - any existing listings stay exactly the same until you activate.
In [your bol channel], go to Settings.
At Linked seller account, click Select seller account.
Select or add a seller account.
If adding a new seller account:
For Label: Name your connection
Click Connect with Bol.
