# Setting up a Local Inventory Feed for Google Shopping (LIA)

Google Local Inventory Ads (LIA) are used to promote the local inventory of a physical store in the area. If you want more information about what they are and how to use them, please see [this link](https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/3540291?hl=en\&ref_topic=7023401\&visit_id=637248743177409053-456745859\&rd=1).

### **How to set up a local inventory feed**

1. Go to **Channels** and click **+ Create channel**. Search for Google and select **'Google Shopping feed'.**
2. Select the country you want to advertise in.
3. For **Type of market**, select **Local Product Inventory.**
4. Click **Save.**

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** If you do not see the 'Local Product Inventory' market type, it means the country you are trying to advertise in does not support this feature.
{% endhint %}

After completing this step, you can proceed to configure the feed in the same manner as you would for any other feed setup. **Keep an eye on the required and recommended fields in the *****finalize***** step** for the Local Product Inventory feed as they are different from the other markets. [Additional information on the fields can also be found here.](https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/3061342?hl=en)
