# How to set up a Beslist feed

Set up a Beslist feed, map product data, activate the feed, and connect orders.

In this guide, we'll walk you through setting up a Beslist feed in Channable to create and manage Beslist listings.

***

### <i class="fa-memo-circle-check">:memo-circle-check:</i> Before you start

**You'll need**

* Product data imported into Channable
* A webshop approved for the 'Winkelwagen model' (Shopping cart system).
  * If you don't have this, contact your Beslist representative, or Beslist directly.
* An [order connection add-on](/list-advertise/orders/order-connections/order-connection-billing-logic.md) (required with Winkelwagen moel)

{% step %}

### Add a Beslist feed

1. In a project in Channable, go to **Channels**.
2. In the searchbar, enter "Beslist" and select it.
3. Fill in your feed settings:
   1. For **Feed name**, give your feed a descriptive name (like 'Beslist - NL'). This will help you identify it later.
   2. For **Target country**, select either Belgium or the Netherlands, depending on where you want to list items.
   3. For **Type of market**, select your market type from the options provided.
4. Click **Advanced settings** to configure additional optional settings like Master rules, safety settings, and SFTP.
5. Click **Save**.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Assign categories

Beslist requires the correct Google categories for your products.

{% hint style="info" %}
If your webshop already has the correct categories assigned, you can skip the **Categories** step.
{% endhint %}

Categorize your items so they match Beslist's taxonomy, and appear in the right place.

1. Go to the **Categories** step.
2. Choose your categorization method(s):
   1. **Generate from field:** Select a category field (like `product_type`, `category`) from your product data to quickly match items to categories.
   2. **+ Add category rule:** Add text-based conditions to assign categories to items in bulk.
   3. **Copy from channel:** Reuse categories you've set up from another channel.
3. Click **Save**.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}
Create rules to fill data gaps

[**Rules**](/manage-improve-product-data/rules-bulk-edit-and-enrich/using-rules.md) help you prepare your product data for your specific channel.

If you find out you're missing information you need for Beslist later, you can create project fields and populate them with rules. You can also adjust existing fields to meet Beslist's requirements.

* **Rule templates:** Use common rules that you can adjust for your needs.
* Create conditions and actions to filter, modify, or enhance data fields.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Map your products

Mapping your product data tells Beslist where they can find the right information they request in your data.

1. Go to the **Mapping** step.
2. In the **Mandatory** section, find the 'categorie' attribute.
   1. If you're sourcing your categories entirely from one field (for example, pre-checked to ensure they match the right categories), select your category field.
   2. If you used Channable to match your items to categories on Beslist, click the dropdown, select <i class="fa-gear">:gear:</i> **Internal fields > category**.
3. For **ean**, map the field containing your item EAN codes. If you don't have an EAN available for your items, connect a SKU and brand.
4. For **levertijd\_nl/be**, specify the shipping time as shown in your webshop.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure your items have the shipping time 'Niet leverbaar' if the items aren't in stock or not for sale.
{% endhint %}

5. For **winkelproductcode**, select the field containing your item ids.
6. In the **Recommended section**, review and map the following attributes:
   1. For **modelCode**, if your product has variants (different colors of the same product), the code must be the same for all colors per product. This is used by Beslist to link child items to their parent products.
   2. For **variantCode**, select the project field that contains the code shared for all sizes of a product.

{% hint style="info" %}
A *variant code* is a combination between the *model code* and the *color.* If *color* isn't available, search for another field that is the same for all sizes and therefore can be used to make a *variant code*.
{% endhint %}

7. For **product\_maat**, select the size of your products. This is required if you sell an item in multiple sizes.
8. For **voorraad**, select the field containing your stock numbers.
9. For **weergave**, if a product needs to be visible on Beslist (in stock and for sale), fill this field with '1'. Fill with '0' when the product shouldn't be visible.

{% hint style="warning" %}
When a product is deleted from the feed without being pushed with 'weergave 0' first, the product will remain visible on Beslist.
{% endhint %}

7. Map any remaining mandatory attributes.
8. Review any other remaining attributes relevant to your data.
9. Click **Save**.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check your feed quality

If there are any errors for mandatory attributes, solve these first by optimizing your product data with rules and/or connecting the right attributes in the **Mapping** step. Repeat if needed.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Activate your feed and copy the URL

Once your Beslist feed is set up, go to the **Preview & export** step.

1. Click **Activate feed**.
2. Click **Copy feed link** and send the URL to your Beslist contact person for a feed check.

Beslist will likely provide feedback on your feed. Address this feedback by consulting our [help center article](/list-advertise/list-on-channels/feeds-faq/how-can-i-improve-my-feed-based-on-feedback.md) about optimizing feeds based on feedback.

#### Important update on scheduling <a href="#h_01j5zam61fwe0pf5ty196sqb8d" id="h_01j5zam61fwe0pf5ty196sqb8d"></a>

* **Every 2 Hours**: Beslist updates the following attributes: **'prices'**, **'delivery time'**, **'shipping costs'**, **'stock'**, and the **'weergave'** column.
* **Twice daily imports**: New items are imported and processed by Beslist twice a day, at 8 am and 7 pm.

For more details on these processes, refer to [this Beslist article.](https://webshops.beslist.nl/aanleveren-van-informatie-via-de-productfeed/)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set up your Beslist order connection (required for Winkelwagen model)

**An order connection is mandatory if you're using Beslist's 'Winkelwagen model' (shopping cart system)**, as it syncs orders and provides real-time stock updates between your e-commerce platform and Beslist.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you use Beslist's CPC (Cost Per Click) model, an order connection is not required.
{% endhint %}

Setting up an order connection with Beslist works slightly differently, as it requires an API connection.

Once you've received the API credentials from your Beslist representative, continue setting up an order connection:

1. In the company with your Beslist feed, go to **Company settings > Connections** > **Add a new connection.**
2. In the searchbar, enter **Beslist** and select it.
3. Give your connection a descriptive name (like "Beslist API connection")
4. Fill in the API credentials (**API Key**, **Order Key**, **Client ID**, and **Shop ID**) provided by Beslist.
5. Click **Connect with Beslist**.
6. [Continue following the standard order connection setup steps.](/list-advertise/orders/order-connections/how-to-set-up-an-order-connection.md)
   {% endstep %}
   {% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://helpcenter.channable.com/list-advertise/list-on-channels/beslist/how-to-set-up-a-beslist-feed.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
