# Set up Galaxus feeds

Galaxus is a Swiss-based online department store offering products from electronics to home goods.

In this guide, we'll cover setting up your Galaxus feeds to create and manage product listings on Galaxus through Channable.

***

### <i class="fa-memo-circle-check">:memo-circle-check:</i> Before you start

**You'll need**

* [Permission to sell on Galaxus](https://www.galaxus.ch/en/page/join-our-merchant-programme-12462).
* Valid EAN numbers for all your products.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Without valid EANs, your products can't be listed on Galaxus.
{% endhint %}

**Good to know**

* You'll need to create a separate Galaxus feed for each country you want to list in.
* You can skip the **Category step** for all Galaxus feeds. Galaxus does not require platform-specific categories.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create Galaxus feeds

To list on Galaxus, you need to set up at least 3 separate feeds.

Each feed serves a specific purpose:

* **Stammdaten + Medien + Deklarationen:** Sends core data, media, and declarations.
* **Preisdaten + Bestandsdaten:** Sends price and stock data.
* **Spezifikationen:** Sends product specifications.
* **Zubehör:** Sends related items and accessories.

<details>

<summary>Feed 1: Set up Stammdaten + Medien + Deklarationen feed</summary>

Set up this Galaxus feed to send your main product data, such as descriptions, images, and required legal details for Galaxus.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create your Stammdaten Galaxus feed

1. In your Channable project, go to **Channels > + Create channel**.
2. In the search bar, enter `Galaxus`. Select it.
3. Configure your feed settings:
   1. **Feed name:** Give your feed a descriptive name (like 'Galaxus - DE - Stammdaten'). This will help you identify it later.
   2. **Target country:** Select the country you want to target items to.
   3. **Type of market:** Click the dropdown and select **Stammdaten + Medien + Deklarationen** (core data + media + declarations)

{% hint style="info" %}
If you don't select a target country, the **Type of market** dropdown will be empty.
{% endhint %}

4. Click **Save.**
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Map your product data

**Product variants**: If you want to create product variants for Galaxus, [see this guide](https://helpcenter.channable.com/list-advertise/list-on-channels/feeds-faq/galaxus-guide-product-variants-and-best-practices).

1. Go directly to the **Mapping** step. Skip the **Categories** and **Rules** steps.
2. Map the following attributes:

* **ProductTitle\_DE**: Map the field containing your German product titles.

  The product title must:

  * use correct spelling and capitalization
  * have consistent titles across variants
  * include manufacturer part numbers **only** if they are part of the product name
  * not include brand names, category names, specs, or promotional text
  * be in German
  * no longer than 100 characters

{% hint style="warning" %}
It's important to keep your Galaxus product titles consistent, as they're used to group variants automatically. If titles differ, use **VariantName** to group them manually.
{% endhint %}

* **LongDescription\_DE**: Map the field containing your product descriptions.\
  Your Galaxus description should:
  * Be general and neutral.
  * Not include advertising, retailer-specific content, web links, or bullet points.
  * Be in German
  * Have less than **4,000 characters**
  * include key information in the first **160–500 characters**
  * avoid `we/us`, all caps, HTML formatting, trademarks, retailer names, and price details
  * avoid the word `new`
* **VariantName**: If you use variants, map the field that distinguishes each variant.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Variant name example

If all variants share the name `Channable breathable shirt`, the **VariantName** value could be `red` or `blue`.
{% endhint %}

* **ProviderKey:** Map the field containing your Galaxus item number.
* **Gtin:** Map the field containing your item EANs.
* **BrandName:** Map the field containing the brand name. The brand name can be up to 100 characters.
* **ProductCategory:** Map the field containing your product categories. Galaxus uses machine learning to assign categories.
  * German works best, but English is also possible.
* **WeightG:** Map the field containing the product weight in grams (e.g. `250` )
* **MainImageURL:** Map the field containing your main image URL.

  The main product image must meet these requirements:

  * Use a cropped front view of the product on a white background.
  * Use `JPEG`, `JPG`, or `PNG`.
  * Be under 8 MB.
  * Have the longest edge at least 600 px.
  * Not a 3D image.
  * No placeholders, promotional text, overlays, logos, watermarks, awards, or generic images.
  * No multiple variants in one image.

**GPSR / DSA requirements**

* **TARIC Code:** Enter the commodity code for the EU area. 11 characters (without spaces) or 14 characters (with spaces).
* **TARESCode:** Map the field containing the Swiss customs tariff number, up to 9 characters. Only required if listing in Switzerland.
* **CountryOfOrigin:** Map the field containing the country your items are produced in.

3. Map any remaining relevant attributes for your catalog.
4. Click **Save**.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you need to make changes to your product data, create rules in the **Rules** step.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### **Check your feed quality**

1. Go to the **Quality** step. Review your feed.
2. If there are any errors for mandatory fields, resolve these by optimizing your product data with rules and/or linking the right fields in the Mapping step. Repeat as needed.
   {% endstep %}
   {% endstepper %}

Once you've set up your first feed, move on to the next one. Skip the **Preview and export** step for now, as we will do this in the final step when all feeds are ready.

</details>

<details>

* **RestockTime:** Map the field containing the number of calendar days until the item is back in stock.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://helpcenter.channable.com/list-advertise/list-on-channels/galaxus/set-up-galaxus-feeds.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
