How to set up a Boulanger channel

Set up a Boulanger channel, map product data, connect Mirakl, and activate your listings.

Boulanger is a leading French retailer specializing in household appliances and consumer electronics/multimedia.

In this article, you'll learn how to set up a Boulanger channel to create, update and manage your Boulanger listings in Channable.

Before you start

You’ll need

  • A Mirakl account

  • A project in Channable with your imported products

  • Products with EAN codes

Good to know

  • Boulanger uses the Mirakl platform

  • Some attributes may be mandatory even if they don't seem relevant for your specific situation (like an attribute for adding a Spanish title when you’re only selling in France). You can leave these attributes unmapped.

1

Create a Boulanger channel

  1. In Channable, go to Projects > [Your project] > Channels.

  2. In the search bar, enter Boulanger and select Boulanger.

If it doesn’t appear, click Clear to reset your filters.

  1. Set your channel settings:

    1. For Name, give your channel a descriptive name (like Boulanger - FR).

    2. For Unique ID per item, select a field containing your products EAN codes (e.g. ean, id)

    3. For Language, choose the language your product data is in.

    4. For Master rules (Optional), set a rule group if you already have one to apply to your channel.

  2. Click Save.

2

Categorize your items

Categorize your items so they match Boulanger's taxonomy, and appear in the right place.

  1. Go to the Categories step.

  2. Choose your categorization method(s):

    1. Generate from field: Select a category field (like product_type, category) from your product data to quickly match items to categories.

    2. + Add category rule: Add text-based conditions to assign categories to items in bulk.

    3. Copy from channel: Reuse categories you've set up from another channel.

  3. Click Save.

3

Create rules to fill data gaps

Use rules to prepare product data for Boulanger. If later steps show missing data, create project fields and populate them with rules. You can also adjust existing fields to meet Boulanger's requirements.

  • Rule templates: Use common rules that you can adjust for your needs.

  • Rules setup: Set up rules to filter, modify, or enhance data fields for marketplace requirements.

4

Map shared attributes

Link project fields to attributes that apply across your entire catalog on Boulanger.

  1. Go to the Build step.

  2. Map any attributes marked Required by marketplace.

    1. To map an attribute, click the dropdown and select the project field containing that data.

For some attributes, you can fill in a custom value or select a supported value if the marketplace supports only certain values.

Filling in a custom value or selecting a supported value this way applies the same value across all items.

5

Map category attributes

Category-specific attributes are fields that specifically apply to your product's categories.

  1. In the Build step, click on the Attributes per category tab.

  2. Select a category from the list.

  3. Map any attributes marked Required by marketplace.

    1. To map an attribute, click the dropdown and select the project field containing that data.

  4. Click Save.

Adding multiple attribute values in Mirakl

Separate multiple attribute values with a pipe symbol (|). This helps Mirakl detect and process each value.

Indicate whether the item is a single item, or a parent/child variant

To map parent and child items, map the following attributes:

  • For SellerProductId, map the field containing the parent ID.

  • For SellerArticleId, map the field containing the variant items IDs.

For single products without variants, enter the same value for both SellerArticleId and SellerProductId.

For Mirakl marketplace errors and best practices, see the Mirakl guide.

6

Additional requirements for Boulanger

Meet GPSR and DSA requirements

The European Union (EU) has introduced new GPSR and DSA requirements for online platforms, including Boulanger.

You can map these fields in the Attributes per category tab in the Build step of your Boulanger channel.

7

Check the quality of your setup

The Quality step provides feedback on your channel before you activate it. It highlights mandatory and optional errors to ensure your product data meets requirements to list on the marketplace.

Solve errors, prioritizing mandatory errors first.

  • View items: See products with specific issues.

  • View in build: Redirects to the Build step to map missing information.

  • Set categories: Directs to the Categories step to categorize items.

  • Show source: Available for ID fields. Directs to the Settings step.

Preview before activating

The Preview step displays the attributes you mapped in the Build step, helping you check if everything is configured correctly by providing an overview of your products and potential errors.

You’ll be redirected to Mirakl to log in to your account. This is to authenticate your connection to ensure Channable can list products for you.
