How to set up a Carrefour France channel

Set up a Carrefour France channel, map product data, connect Mirakl, and activate your listings.

Carrefour France is a French marketplace that uses the Mirakl platform. It specializes in groceries, food, and everyday household items.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up a Carrefour France channel. You can then create, update, and manage listings in Channable.

• A Mirakl account for Carrefour France
• A Channable project with imported products

Good to know

• Channable supports Carrefour France and Carrefour Spain only.
• This guide covers Carrefour France. Select France when creating the channel.
• Carrefour can't delete listings. Set stock to 0 and re-run your channel to deactivate a listing.
• Carrefour requires any seller who wants to register new products to send a copy of their feed, in Excel format, to validate all new items.

Create a Carrefour France channel

1. In Channable, go to Projects > [Your project] > Channels.
2. In the search bar, enter Carrefour and select Carrefour France.
3. Set your channel settings:

   1. For Name, give your channel a descriptive name (like Carrefour France - FR).
   2. For Unique ID per item, select a field containing your product IDs.
   3. For Attribute language, choose the language your product data is in.
   4. For Master rules (Optional), set a rule group if you already have one to apply to your channel.
4. Click Save.

Categorize your items

Categorize your items so they match Carrefour France’s taxonomy.

1. Go to the Categories step.
2. Choose your categorization method:

   1. Generate from field: Select a category field, such as product_type or category.
   2. + Add category rule: Add text-based conditions to assign categories in bulk.
   3. Copy from channel: Reuse categories from another channel.
3. Click Save.

Create rules to fill data gaps

Use rules to prepare product data for Carrefour France. Create project fields when later steps show missing data.

• Rule templates: Use common rules that you can adapt.
• Rules setup: Filter, modify, or enrich fields for marketplace requirements.

Carrefour requires a shipping class based on product weight. If you don't have this data already, create a field and use rules to set the relevant shipping class. Project fields accept only XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL.

Map shared attributes

Link project fields to attributes that apply across your Carrefour France catalog.

1. Go to the Build step.
2. Map each attribute marked Required by marketplace.

   • To map an attribute, click its dropdown and select the project field containing that data.

For some attributes, you can enter a custom value or select a supported value. This applies the same value to every item.

Map category attributes

Category-specific attributes apply only to your product’s categories.

1. In the Build step, click Attributes per category.
2. Select a category from the list.
3. Map each attribute marked Required by marketplace.

   1. To map an attribute, click its dropdown and select the project field containing that data.
4. Click Save.

Adding multiple attribute values in Mirakl

Separate multiple attribute values with a pipe symbol (|). This helps Mirakl process each value.

Check the quality of your setup

The Quality step checks your channel before activation. Resolve mandatory errors first.

• View items: Show products with a specific issue.
• View in build: Open missing information in Build.
• Set categories: Open the Categories step.
• Show source: Open Settings for ID fields.

Preview before activating

The Preview step shows mapped attributes and potential errors.

• Use All to filter products with errors.
• Use All categories to filter a category.

Connect to Carrefour France via Mirakl

To send listings to Carrefour France, connect your channel to your Mirakl Connect account.

Linking your account does not change existing listings. Changes begin after activation.

1. Log in to your Mirakl Connect account.
2. In [your Carrefour France channel], go to Settings.
3. At Linked seller account, click Select seller account.
4. Select an existing seller account, or click + Add new connection.

   1. If you add a seller account:

      1. For Name, enter a name for the connection. This only identifies the connection in Channable.
      2. Click Connect with Carrefour.

Channable redirects you to Mirakl to authenticate the connection. After you sign in, you return to your channel.

Activate and run your channel

If needed, activate your project first.

1. Return to the Settings step in your Carrefour France channel and click Activate API.
2. Click Save.
3. Click Run now to send your product listings to Carrefour France.

Review and fix listing errors

After you run your channel, the marketplace provides feedback about missing listing data. Treat each run as part of an iterative process!

To review feedback and resolve errors, go to the Result step and click the Feedback tab.

Resolving errors

1. In Description, click the error name. This opens an overview of products with that error.
2. In ID, click the ID number and scroll to the error callout. Hover over the callout for more information.
3. If the error is a mapping error, click View in build. This opens the attribute that you need to map or remap.
4. For more information about the attribute and its accepted values, hover over .
5. Resolve the error.

Carrefour can't remove products from your account. Send the product again with stock set to 0 to deactivate it.
