# Copy categories from another channel

To copy categories from another channel, follow these steps:

### Navigate to your channel

* Open the channel where you want the categories.
* Go to the **Categories** step and open the **Manual Categorization** tab.

### Start the copy action

* If you don't have categories yet, click **Copy categories**.
* If you already have categories, click **More actions**, then the **+** icon dropdown and select **Copy categories**.

### Select source project and channel

* In the pop-up, at **From project**, select which project you want to copy the categories from.
* At **From channel**, select which channel in that project.

### Complete the copy

* Click **Copy here**.
* Click **Save categories**.
