# AI generation feature use policy

Understand the responsibilities, prohibited uses, and terms that apply to AI generation feature use.

## AI generated attributes, text, and image feature use policy

This policy supplements the [Channable Terms & Conditions](https://www.channable.com/terms-and-conditions). You must read it with those terms.

By using the [AI generated attributes](/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/ai-enriched-attributes.md), [AI generated text](/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/ai-generated-text.md), and [AI generated image](/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/ai-generated-images.md) features, you agree to this policy.

### Roles and responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the following:

* Evaluate and approve AI generated attributes, text and image output before publication. Confirm its commercial suitability, legal compliance, and non-infringement.
* Comply with marketplace disclosure rules and applicable transparency requirements, including tagging obligations.
* Ensure human oversight reviews and approves all output for accuracy and legality before marketplace export.

### Prohibited uses

You must not submit User Content, as defined in the [Channable Terms & Conditions](https://www.channable.com/terms-and-conditions), or generate output that does any of the following:

* Falsely alters product features, including size, colors, or included accessories.
* Includes fake trust or certification badges. You must not claim that an AI-generated image was created solely by a human to deceive buyers.
* Images that depict identifiable individuals without explicit legal consent, including deepfakes. You must not reproduce third-party copyrighted material, trademarked logos, or other protected intellectual property.
* Removes, alters, or obscures embedded watermarks, metadata, or C2PA content credentials.
* Includes illegal, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, non-consensual intimate imagery, self-harm, or violence-inciting content.

### Disclaimers and suspension rights

When the [AI generated text](/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/ai-generated-text.md) and [AI generated image](/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/ai-generated-images.md) features are used, Channable is neither the 'provider' nor the 'deployer' of the AI system (as defined under the EU AI Act (Reg 2024/1689)).

Channable makes no warranties about the quality, legal status, accuracy, originality, or third-party non-infringement risk of AI generated output.

Channable assumes no liability for marketplace penalties, account suspensions, or lost revenue resulting from your use of AI generation features.

Channable can modify or discontinue AI generated attributes, text and image features at any time. Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to AI generation features or your Channable account.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://helpcenter.channable.com/manage-improve-product-data/generate-with-ai/content-ai-feature-use-policy.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
