Insights for Amazon Ads

Set up Amazon Ads Insights to track product-level campaign performance and use performance segmentation data in rules.

Who can use this feature: You need the Core Pro plan in your Channable subscription to use this feature.

With Channable Insights, you can connect your Amazon Ads account to view key performance data directly in Channable, helping you track important metrics like clicks, impressions, and ad spend, helping you make strategic decisions for your campaigns.

In this article, we'll explain how to set up Insights for Amazon Ads and go over the metrics you can track in Channable.

Before you start

You'll need

  • An Amazon Ads account

  • A project field that contains your product IDs

Set up Insights for Amazon Ads

  1. In your Channable project, go to Insights > Create Insights.

  2. At Connect with, select [your Amazon Ads connection] or create a new one.

  3. Fill in the following information:

    1. For Name, give your dashboard a distinct name (e.g. 'Amazon Ads NL - 90 days')

    2. For Date range setting, choose between a Rolling date range or Fixed date range.

    3. For Date range, choose the date range you want to pull data from (if fixed range) or the maximum number of days to pull data from (if rolling date range).

    4. For Amazon account, select the Amazon account you want to retrieve data from.

    5. For Channel Unique ID, select the field containing your item IDs.

    6. For Group on fields (optional), you can combine your results by shared details like Brand or Category. Instead of showing every product on its own, your dashboard will add up totals for each group.

    Example

If you sell sports shoes, grouping by Brand will group all your items together for the dashboard, so you see total sales by brand (e.g., Nike, Adidas) rather than a huge list showing all 1,000 items line by line.

g. For Time range attribution, define the window of time you attribute a conversion to an initial impression.

Example: 2 weeks time attribution

If you set the Time range attribution to 2 weeks, if someone clicks on your product, leaves, but returns a week later to purchase it, the sale will be attributed to your ad.

  1. Click New Insights dashboard.

Within a few minutes, your dashboard will appear with an overview of your products.
