Maxeda, the organization behind Praxis (Netherlands) and Brico (Belgium), offers a major marketplace for DIY products in the Benelux region. Through Mirakl, third-party sellers can list products on both platforms, reaching a wide audience while maintaining quality standards.
In this article, you'll learn how to set up a Praxis and Brico channel to create, update, and manage your Praxis and Brico listings in Channable.
Contents
Before you start
Must know
- To list on Praxis, you need to also list on Brico. This means you must also create a channel for Brico with an identical setup.
- Once you run your channel, Maxeda will review your products before they can be listed. This can take up to a week.
Good to know
- Incomplete account information can prevent your products from listing on Praxis and Brico, even if they were pushed successfully from Channable.
- Some attributes may be mandatory even if they don't seem relevant for your specific situation (e.g. an attribute for adding a Spanish title when you’re only selling in Germany). You can leave these attributes unmapped.
- Seller guides for Maxeda Praxis and Brico:

Best practices
Adding multiple attribute values: When adding multiple values in an attribute field for Mirakl Marketplaces, separate each value with a pipe symbol "|" to ensure proper detection and processing.
Seller's Product ID for Single/simple products: Please note that there are two attributes named 'SellerArticleId' and 'SellerProductId,' respectively. 'SellerProductId' refers to the Parent ID, while 'SellerArticleId' refers to the variant items. For single products, both attributes must be filled with the same value.

Additional information/requirements for Praxis & Brico
The following information specifically applies to Maxeda channels.
Praxis & Brico channels must match
Your Brico and Praxis channels must have matching product data and be configured exactly the same.
When data doesn't match between the channels, you may encounter errors like:
"Rejected product: Mandatory fields are not filled in, add content to both channels (BE+NL)."
If you have a Core Plus or Core Pro plan, you can set up Shared rules to speed up this process and ensure all data stays synchronized.
Images
Although both channels indicate that images need to be added in the attributes, Maxeda specifically requests to only send images via the Praxis channel. For the Brico channel, leave the attribute Image empty.

mirakl_unknown_error_code
This error signifies a group of errors that typically occur when Mirakl can’t identify a product’s EAN in the Mirakl database. This means the product is either new to Mirakl, or missing attributes it needs to be recognized as a product.
Solution:
- Check your categories: In the Categories step, check that your product categories are correctly matched. If they're not, take a moment to map them accurately. For detailed instructions on this process, refer to our article on mapping categories.
- Check your mapping: In the Build step, check your mapped fields and correct anything that looks incorrectly mapped. You can use rules to create and populate new fields.
Once you’ve checked both your categories and mapped attributes, click Run now to run your channel again.
Error 1004: The category could not be identified
This error occurs when items are sent with categories that don't match the categories on Mirakl. Any existing mapping in Mirakl will override the category mapping you make in Channable.
Solution:
To fix this, remove any existing category mapping from Mirakl.
- In your Mirakl Connect account, go to Settings > Catalog Mapping.
- At My catalog structure, click Root and select Category. This opens up all mapping related to categories.
- Click Category again and select Remove mapping.
- Return to [your Maxeda Praxis channel] in Channable and click Run now to run it again.
- Do the same with [your Maxeda Brico channel].
Your category mismatch should be resolved.
