1. Setup Import
Go to the setup page and click "Setup import". You will be given the option to import from:
- Google Spreadsheet
- Text file (.txt)
- JSON (one JSON object in the file or one JSON object per line)
- Any other platform connections you might have
If you do not have any of the imports listed above see this page.
- XML, JSON, CSV, text, and Google spreadsheet files compressed with the .gz format
- XML and JSON-files compressed with the .zip format.
2. Fill in url
After choosing your import channel you will be asked to specify the location of your import feed. This has to be an online location for example: "http://files.channable.com/examplefeed.xml"
Once you successfully filled in the location of your feed you will be taken to the Setup Mapping. The left column represents the fields from your import feed. The right column represents the fields in Channable they are mapped to. Channable will automatically detect and link most of the fields, the fields Channable does not recognize will be created with the same name as the import feed.
Sometimes Channable will warn you that some fields are missing in the mapping. For instance, a field called "title". In this case you should try to find the row which contains the "title" field, disable custom and select the field "title" from the drop down menu below "Internal Channable Field".
4. Save and run
Once you are done and clicked 'Save & Import' you will be faced with the setup screen. The status column will display the status of the feed importing process. Once this field says "Finished" you are done.
Great! All your items have now been loaded into Channable which you can find under "Items".
5. Exporting your products
After all items have been imported you can now export them to various channels.
