Where can I find the safety options?
With the import safety options you can set up safety measures for when the number of items in your import changes. You can find the import safety options in your project by navigating to Setup > Setup import > "Your import name" > Safety. Here you will see an overview in which you can select the safety options you want to use.
Different options
There are several options to choose from for the "Action on difference":
- No action:
This is the default setting. No matter how large or small the change of numbers in your import, you will not receive a notification of the change. - Send notification:
If you choose this setting we will email you whenever there is change in the number of items compared to the previous import. The new number of items will still be imported and your feeds, APIs, text ads, and shopping campaigns will be run with the new number of items.
Note: We only send an email once following the change in number of items, because after that the new number of items will be viewed as the "default" situation. - Block and send notification:
In addition to emailing you, the import will be blocked and an error and "Failed" status will appear for the import. The error will continue to appear until the safety block is removed or the data in your feed has changed.
Difference margin
If you select the action option "Send notification" or "Block and send notification" two further options will appear in which you can set the threshold which will trigger the action.
- Action on negative difference:
The percentage you select here will be used to check if an action needs to be taken whenever there is a decrease in the number of items in your import. - Action on positive difference:
The percentage you select here will be used to check if an action needs to be taken whenever there is a increase in the number of items in your import.
