Learn how to invite agency users, assign roles, and manage access to your Agency Dashboard.

Locations for applying user permissions

User permissions in Channable are set across three key areas, each impacting access and functionality differently:

  • Agency Dashboard

  • Main company

  • Client companies

Types of Agency roles

Agency roles in Channable, such as Marketeer and Agency Lead. These roles define user access across the Agency Dashboard, the agency’s main company, and client companies.

Can see other users in the Agency Dashboard.

Permissions equivalent to an Employee role.

Agency Lead

Can change user roles (e.g., promote a Marketeer to Agency Lead). Can add or remove agency users.

Invite others to access your Agency Dashboard

  1. Go to the Agency Users tab and click Invite users.

  2. At Invite email, enter the email address of the team member you wish to invite and at Role, select their role (Marketeer or Agency Lead). Click Invite user.

  3. The invited user will receive an email instructions on how to continue.

  4. After inviting a team member, they will show on the Agency Users page once they accept the invitation. If the invitation has not yet been accepted, you can find the user in the Pending invites tab.

Note: The person you invite will automatically have access to all your managed companies. If you want a client to see how you are managing their account, invite them to their specific company account instead.

Remove a user from the Agency Dashboard

  1. Go to the Agency users section.

  2. Locate the user you want to remove and click the cogwheel icon next to their name.

  3. In the pop up, select Remove user from the agency from the dropdown.

Once completed, the user will be removed from your Agency Dashboard and will no longer have access to your connected companies.

Change a user role

  1. Go to the Agency Users section.

  2. Locate the user whose role you want to change and click the cogwheel icon next to their name.

  3. Select Manage role from the dropdown.
