How to set up a Channable CSS Merchant

Connect your Google Merchant Center account and set up a merchant in Channable CSS.

This article explains how to join Channable CSS and register a merchant.

Before you start

You’ll need

  • A Channable account

  • A Google account with admin access to both:

    • the Merchant Center account you want to use

    • the Google Ads account you want to use

  • You only need to create connections for CSS in Channable in [your company] > CSS Merchants using these steps.

Good to know

  • Switching to Channable CSS only requires accepting an invite in Google Merchant Center. You don't need to change your campaigns or product feed.

  • Once your switch is processed, you'll start benefitting right away from the 20% CPC margin advantage.

CSS pricing

  • The cost for a CSS shop is €29 per shop, regardless of the number of countries you are selling in. Usually 1 shop = 1 Google Merchant Center ID. Learn more about CSS pricing.

3

Set up the supplemental source for your merchant in Google Merchant Center

Are you a migrated Producthero customer?

If you already have a Producthero supplemental source, add a Channable supplemental source alongside it. Keep the Producthero source during the transition.

To complete your setup, you’ll need to add a supplemental source in Google Merchant Center. This allows the optimizations made in the Channable CSS environment to be applied to your product feed.

Follow this guide to set up the supplemental source for your merchant account.

4

Approve the CSS switch in Google Merchant Center

Are you a Producthero migrated customer?

The switch from Producthero CSS to Channable CSS will be handled automatically for you. No additional approval or action is required from your side.

In Google's invitation email, you'll be asked to review and approve the switch in your Google Merchant Center account.

After you approve the request, the switch is processed automatically. What happens next depends on your current CSS setup:

  • If you’re currently using Google CSS The switch to Channable CSS will happen immediately after approval.

  • If you’re currently using another CSS partner The switch may take up to 14 days, depending on your current CSS partner’s grace period. During this time, your Shopping ads will continue running as usual, and the switch completes automatically when the grace period ends.
