Set up the Image Editor
In order to use the Image Editor, you have to add the 'Creatives' plan in your Plans and pricing.
Setting up essentials to get started with the image editor
In order to correctly start with the Image Editor, make sure that all project fields you are going to use for images are correctly mapped to Type: 'Image' in the import mapping.
Go to Setup > Setup Import > Edit mapping.
Click Edit behind the project field you want to use and ensure Type is set to 'Image'.
This also applies for project fields you created yourself (not coming from the import). These fields are under Setup project fields, next to the Setup import tab.
Important: Make sure the images you want to use from your import are PNG, WebP, JPG, or JPEG files (other file types won’t work). The Image Editor itself will only create PNG files.
Set up the feed you want to create new images for
The Image Editor can be used with any feed in the Feed section. First, create (or copy) a feed for the channel you want to create optimized images for.
Tip: If you want to check image generation before sending to an advertising channel, start with a feed that isn’t used on a channel yet.
Create template
Open the Select a template dropdown and choose + New template.
Give the template a name and click Create to open the Image Editor.

First choose the correct size for your canvas (see Canvas settings). Then build your template by adding objects like Image, Text, or Shape (top left corner).
For an in-depth explanation of canvas, grid, and settings, see this article.
Below are how to add the main object types.
Add image object
Click Image then Add dynamic image to create an image object.
To select an image, click Design in the right menu.
Use the dropdown next to Image field and choose the image field you want for this object

Important: Maximum of 10 images per template. Note: The above adds a dynamic image. To add a static image that is the same for all items, see this article.
Add text object
Click Text to add a text object.
In Design, edit the value field to add static text, dynamic text (connect a project field), or a combination of static + dynamic text

Note: To add a custom font see this article. Check out this article to learn more about text settings.
Add shape object and change the order of the objects
Click Shape to add a static shape.
Use the Design tab to change the shape’s appearance.
To change object order (for example move shape behind text), open Objects and drag items using the three-stripes icon. When finished, press Save in the top right

Apply templates to products
Click Back (top left) to return to the image rule.
In the THEN part of the rule click Select a template and pick the template you created.
If you only want to apply the template to certain items, set the appropriate conditions in the IF part of the rule.
Important: An item can only be edited by one rule — the first rule that selects the item. Subsequent rules that would select the same item will skip it

Store the Image URL and set safety settings
In your image rule, select an image field to store the new image URL.
Click Save rule and continue to the Finalize step in your feed.
Connect the correct internal image field to the channel field name.
Click Save & run to generate the feed.
Generated image URLs start with: https://channableusercontent.com/
If there are errors while generating images, the feed will fail to run. See errors in the feed’s Status tab and via email notification (if enabled).
You can change feed behavior on errors via the safety settings in the feed

If you encounter errors in the Image Editor, see this troubleshooting article.
