Why can I modify the CPC values, budgets, targeting and tracking?
When the Channable tool creates your dynamic ads, the CPC values and budgets are set up only once. After that, the Channable tool does not update these properties for your ads. Because Channable does not update these properties, you can change them in your Google Ads account without causing any synchronization problems.
The Status and Targeting for Campaigns and the Status and Tracking for Ad groups are properties that can be synced, but this depends on the settings of these properties:
Targeting: If the "Override targeting" setting is turned off for Targeting ( Configuring Campaign targeting settings ), then the targeting for Campaigns can be manually modified in Google Ads and Channable will not undo those changes.
Campaign status: If the Sync Status ( Google Text Ads Sync statuses ) is set to "Sync everything except campaigns", then the Status of Campaigns can be manually modified in Google Ads and Channable will not undo the changes.
Ad group status & tracking: If the Sync Status is set to "Sync everything except campaigns and ad groups", then the Status of Campaigns and Ad groups, and Tracking of Ad groups can be manually modified in Google Ads and Channable will not undo the changes.
Note: If Sync Status is set to "Sync everything", Channable will send tracking parameters to Google Ads. If there are preexisting URL tracking parameters in your Google Ads account, Channable will not remove or overwrite them. These must be manually removed by you in Google Ads if you want Channable's tracking to be used exclusively.
What is the "Sync Status"?
The “Sync Status” determines whether Channable will override manual changes made on Google to particular fields. Right now, the Sync Status is only available for Campaigns and Adgroups. The Sync Status only affects certain fields.
For Campaigns:
Status
Targeting (separate Override setting, also see Configuring Campaign targeting settings)
For Ad groups:
Status
Tracking
For more information on the Sync Statuses, see Google Text Ads Sync statuses.
Why can't I modify the campaigns, ad groups, ads, extensions and (negative) keywords?
After the Channable tool creates the campaigns, ad groups, ads, (negative) keywords, sitelinks, and price extensions, they will be automatically synchronized with every run of the generator. Changing the name or fields of one of these properties will cause an error because the Channable tool will not be able to synchronize these properties anymore.

What should I keep in mind when manually adding these properties?
It is possible to add campaigns to your Google Ads account and it is also possible to add ad groups to campaigns which have been created by the Channable tool. In the same way it is possible to add ads to ad groups created by the Channable tool, to add keywords to the set of keywords created by the Channable tool, etc.
When one of the entities above is added, they are ignored by Channable. You can manually create a campaign and ad group, and then use those in Channable, however, for Ads and (Negative) Keywords, Channable will never control those.
However, what you should keep in mind when adding these properties is that the name has to be different from existing properties. In other words, if you have a campaign named "Channable products" you cannot add another new campaign which is also named "Channable products". The same holds for adding ad groups, ads and (negative) keywords. If you do add these properties with an existing name it will cause synchronization errors.
