Adding a new Google Ads connection

The first step in this process is to ensure that you have added the PPC module to your subscription. For more information on how to do so, please refer to this article.

Adding the connection

When you have confirmed that you have the PPC module added to your subscription, navigate to [Your Company] > Connections. Continue by following the steps below:

Search for the Google Ads connection

Search for the “Google Ads” connection.

Fill in label and customer ID

Fill in the label for the new connection and add the Google Ads customer ID of the account you wish to connect to.

Sign in with Google

Click "Sign in with Google".

Authenticate the Google account

You'll be redirected to the page, where you have to log in with the account that is linked to the Google Ads customer ID you just filled in.

You need to have access to the account that you wish to connect to yourself. We will send an invitation from our Channable MCC to connect to this Google Ads Customer account — please accept this invite inside Google Ads settings (Settings & Tools > Linked accounts > Google Ads). Once the account is linked, you'll be brought back to Channable, where you can start setting up your text ads generator.

Create the Ads Generator

Once the connection is successfully created, go to [Your Project] > Text ads. Click on '+Add new dynamic ads generator'. Continue by giving your new generator a name, you also need to select a "Unique ID per item" from the dropdown menu on this page.

The text ads generator is now successfully created, you now have the option to activate your ads. We recommend leaving them inactive until you have finished building them.
