Zalando has a mandatory attribute called the Size Chart. This attribute consists of a value for the code and the group. This is then split up for certain categories of products in both the “size” and the “length” attributes.
To fill in these attributes you will need the sizes you use and the relevant size chart code from Zalando. To find these codes you will need to use the following tool from Zalando to get the proper value: https://partnerportal.zalando.com/partners/s/article/finding-your-size-chart
Zalando will also select certain chart codes that they enable for you based on the data that is sent in the brand readiness phase.
The way Zalando uses this is done by adding a size guide to their products:
Fill in SizeChart attributes
By sending your size, and the size chart, Zalando is able to translate all the sizes of one specific region to all other regions as well. For example, if you have a pair of shoes with size 40 in the EU and you send the proper size chart for this product, Zalando will make a size chart where the values for FR, IT, UK, and US are 40, 40, 6.5, and 9 respectively.
To fill these in, you can use the “Supplier size” from the Zalando Size Chart tool (colored in orange) and place these in the size_code column in the Channable attribute step. For the Size chart code, you can take the code (in blue) and place them in the size_group column.
Make sure that the description of the code matches the product that you want to send.
This means that the size and the other relevant sizes on the sizing tab of the product are important for Zalando. With this information, you should be able to find the correct size chart values which offer customers the data they need.
The Length attribute works in the same way, however this only applies if a product has two separate sizes. Bras have both a cup size and a circumference size. These are differentiated in Size and Length attributes and have to be filled in separately within the attributes.
With the Size finder, Zalando also offers a small description of the chart code so you can see if this is indeed the correct group code that has to be used for these products. Please keep in mind that the size chart information is one of the requirements to have in your import before being able to get started with our Zalando setup. As this is a value that comes and is managed directly by Zalando we recommend that you contact your integration manager at Zalando for further information on this, to make sure you get the values that have been enabled for you.
