How to set up an eBay channel
eBay is a popular multinational online marketplace where individuals and businesses can buy and sell services, or new and used items.
In this article, you’ll learn how to create an eBay channel to create, manage, and list on eBay.
Before you start
You'll need
An eBay account
Good to know
eBay charges a fee per product added. Removing and re-adding products with rules, or having significant feed fluctuations, will create new listings and may result in unexpected costs. Note: Some eBay subscriptions allow you to list a set number of products for a monthly fee.
We don't clear eBay APIs because this requires listing costs to be paid again.
If you want to keep your reviews and history for existing eBay listings, we can help. Contact our Support team for more information.
Step 1: Create your eBay channel
In Channable, go to Channels.
Search for and select eBay.
Set up your channel settings:
Name: Provide a unique name for your channel. Used to identify it within Channable.
Unique ID per item: Select the field containing your product IDs (this is often ‘id’).
eBay country: Select the eBay country you want to list in.
Note: The country you choose will influence the information you need to provide in later steps.

Note: If you have selected the "Verify-only" option and activated the API, you will only see the number of errors in the "Preview" step. You will not see the number of successful products as you are not publishing anything yet.Note: Once you set the Status in the API settings from "Verify-only" to "Publish" you will not be able to switch back to the 'Verify-only' mode!
Step 2: Categorize your products
In [your eBay channel], go to the Categories step.
Our AI will automatically start to categorize your products to corresponding categories on Marktplaats.

In [your eBay channel], go to the Rules step.
Click Create rule.
Use rule templates or create a custom rule based on what you would like to adjust.
Click Save.
For more information on how to set up a rule, or rule combinations, refer to our rules articles.

In ID, click the ID number and scroll. You should see a red highlighted callout in the section where the error occurred. Hover over the callout for more information.
If the error is a mapping error, click View in build to be directed to the attribute you need to map/re-map, which is highlighted in blue.
For more information about the attribute and its accepted values, hover over .
Resolve the error.
Repeat for remaining errors. When you're ready, run your channel again by clicking Run now.
You can check your successfully listed products in the Successful tab.
