Before you start

  • The Product ID must be the Unique ID per item assigned to your item in your webshop.

  • Make sure that your item(s) have a quantity/stock of at least 4 because test orders randomly choose a quantity between 1 and 4 for the selected item(s). Otherwise, the test order will result in an error.

  • Select a product that's already imported into Channable. This product will serve as the placeholder for the test order.

  • It's not possible to test the shipping method because it's not a real order.

This guide walks you through sending a Channable test order to your webshop platform, customizing it to fit your specific needs, and ensuring your setup is ready to handle real customer orders efficiently.

To create a test order, go to Setup > Orders in your project. Here you'll find your order connection(s). Click on Settings to select the order connection for which you want to send a test order.

Click on the settings menu (cog wheel) in the top right of the screen. The Send test order option can be found there.

Note: Your order connection does not have to be activated to send a test order.

Creating the test order

Channable offers multiple options to customize the test order. Below are the available options.

Standard test order

A standard test order requires only the two fields: Product ID and Country — filling these is enough to create a test order. When you choose this option, Channable will use randomized information, so product information such as prices will not necessarily match your webshop.

Note: You can include multiple products in one test order by adding product IDs separated by commas.

Customized test order

You can tailor test orders to various scenarios by clicking the tabs: Customer, Price, Billing address, Shipping address, and Products and changing the values there. Some fields may be pre-filled with defaults; modify any fields as needed.

Note: The Product ID and Country fields are always mandatory when sending a test order.

Sending the test order

After filling in all fields, send the test order. If successful, you will see the order in both your webshop and Channable — do not process the test order!

Important: This process only tests the connection between Channable and your webshop platform. It does not test the connection between Channable and marketplace channels.
