As of December 13th, 2024, the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) and the Digital Services Act (DSA) will come into effect. If your business sells into the European Union (EU), you will need to ensure that your products comply with the GPSR and DSA.
We have outlined the current status of GPSR and DSA implementation per marketplace, and what action you need to take (if applicable), in this article.
Note: While it is highly recommended that merchants comply with the GPSR and DSA as soon as they are able to do so, it is very unlikely that your products will be taken offline if you do not meet the requirements by December 13th, 2024. Marketplaces recognize the complexity of implementation, both for themselves and for merchants. In some situations, GPSR and DSA will not be enforced until 2025.
GPSR requirements by marketplace
Marketplaces are rolling out GPSR and DSA requirements at different speeds. Requirements will be implemented within Channable as soon as we receive them from the marketplace, and this article will be updated accordingly.
Note: If you use a feed-based implementation for creating listings (for example, Fruugo or Kaufland), you need to update your feed mapping in order for the GPSR/DSA fields to show.
