Set up a Meta Auto Feed
Learn how to set up a Meta Auto feed in Channable, map the required fields, and upload it to your catalog in Meta Commerce Manager.
Note: Before setting up your Meta Auto Feed, create a project in Channable and add your product data.
Follow these steps to set up your Meta Auto feed:
Navigate to Channels and click +Create channel.
Search for “Meta Auto" in the search field.
Select ‘Meta Auto’.
At Feed name, add a name for your feed.
Select your Target country and Type of market.
Tip: The fields you need to fill in the Mapping step greatly differ per market. You can later change the market type in the feed settings if you choose the wrong one. If you change the market type, make sure to update your feed mapping.
Select the Type of feed. Choose a type of feed based on your Meta catalog.
Click Continue to create the new feed.
You don’t need to add categories at the Categories step for a Auto feed.
Check the field mapping of your product data in Setup > Import > [Added import] > Edit mapping. If you have errors here, you need to create the new fields.
When your product data is incomplete or it does not match the format that Meta requires, you need to use rules in Channable to make improvements. Create rules in the Rules step to optimize your product data.
Tip: We have rule templates to help you improve the quality of your feed.
Connect the internal fields to Meta’s fields in the Mapping step. Make sure to fill in all the mandatory fields.
Tip: Hover over the ? question mark icons with your cursor for a description of the channel fields.
Add nested sub-attributes in the Mapping step
Some markets require very detailed data, specifically using nested sub attributes.
For certain attributes, e.g. g:vehicle_fulfillment, multiple layers of information grouped together is required. Instead of a single line of data, "nested" values are expected that define specific options (like fulfillment type and store code) under one parent attribute.
How to nest sub-attributes in the Mapping step:
In your Meta Auto feed in Channable, locate the primary attribute (e.g., vehicle_fulfillment) that you want to add sub attributes to in the Mapping step.
In the 'Manual' section, click Add new field.
At Internal field, add the parent field/attribute e.g. vehicle_fulfillment.
At Channel field name, add the sub attributes as separate fields.
Click Save & run.

Check your feed in the Preview & export and Quality steps. If there are any errors for mandatory fields, solve these by optimizing your data further with rules and/or connecting the right fields in the Mapping step.
Go to [Your feed] > Preview and click Activate feed.
Click on the Run now button to run your feed.
Lastly, you need to upload your feed to your catalog in the Meta Commerce Manager.
