If you would like to check for errors and make sure your APIs are perfect follow these instructions.

Preview the Marktplaats Pro API results

First click on the APIs tab, then select the API connection you want to check, and then click the Preview tab. This tab gives you a limited overview of your ads and the information that will be exported.

Filter on error

Select the Feedback tab to display an overview of the types of errors and how many ads are affected by each error. Clicking on an error shows all items affected and the reason.

You can now fix the errors in the tab. Here are some examples of common errors:

  • Category is not an integer This happens if you have not given categories for all your items. Go back to the Categories tab and make sure all products have a category.

  • The maximum length of field 'XXX' is 60 characters This happens when there is a constraint on the field length. Use the maximum length rule to limit the length of the field in question.

New ads not visible on Marktplaats

Marktplaats maintains the IDs of your products in their database, even after you delete them. When you remove ads from the Marktplaats platform and subsequently attempt to resend the same products through Channable with the IDs previously deleted on the platform, this can result in ads appearing successfully uploaded in the Result step of the API but remaining invisible on the platform because they are still marked as deleted in Marktplaats's database.

To resolve this, ensure the IDs of your products have not been used previously for older ads sent to the platform. One solution is to create a rule to append a value to your existing IDs so they will appear as new IDs (and therefore new ads) to Marktplaats.
