wrenchConfiguring Transporter Settings for Order Connections

To configure the transporter for your order connections, navigate to the project you are working in and go to Setup > Setup orders > Transporter.

Here, you can configure your Default Transporter and add Transporter Mapping. If you only have one transporter, you only need to add a default transporter.

Default Transporter vs. Transporter Mapping

In Channable, you must manually select your transporter from the dropdown menu in the Default transporter field, as Channable does not automatically detect the transporter code.

Default transporter

If you use only one transporter for all your orders, selecting a Default transporter is sufficient. This transporter will be applied to all orders (for all order connections) unless specified otherwise through transporter mapping.

Transporter mapping

If you use multiple transporters, set up Transporter mappings in addition to selecting a default transporter. Transporter mapping allows you to create transporter mapping rules for tracking codes so that the appropriate transporter is automatically selected based on specific criteria. For example:

  • If a tracking code format matches the rule you’ve set, the associated transporter will be automatically applied.

  • If none of the mappings apply, Channable will use the Default transporter.

For instance, if a tracking code ends with '3345', DHL Express could be used as the transporter. Otherwise, the standard DHL option would be selected.

Using the Remove Value checkbox

The Remove Value checkbox is available in transporter mapping rules. If checked, the specified input value will be removed from the tracking code before sending it to the marketplace. This feature is useful if you use different transporters for different marketplaces but have similar tracking code formats.

For example, you could add a custom string to the tracking code to identify the transporter, which will then be removed before sending it to the marketplace.

Configuring PostNL letter post

If you use PostNL letter post as the transporter for orders without a tracking code (T&T), please take into account the following:

1

Select the transporter

Ensure you select "Letter post" as the transporter, not "PostNL letter".

2

Set the default transporter

Set the Default Transporter to "Letter post". Do not create a transporter mapping rule along the lines of 'If tracking starts with [empty value]'.

Below is an example screenshot demonstrating the correct configuration:

Commonly used transporters

Below is an example of commonly used transporters and their typical T&T code prefixes, which may help you when configuring transporter mappings:

Note that these are frequently used examples. Be sure to verify in your own backend what values the T&T codes start with.
